lol i doubt *that* will be happening between those two *laughs*
What's going on? Have I missed anything important?
Hey, the sleep walker arrives!
I wonder how do you maintain your sanity sleeping so little....
What do you mean? I go to bed around 3 or 4 am here, and get up around 1 pm. I don't sleep "little", I just keep odd hours.
Now I understand. When you said the other you had been awake since 06h00 AM, I imagined it was common.
Ah, no. 6 am is not common for me. That's the most ungodly hour to get up at, especially for me, when I consider 10 am a bad hour to get up at. That particular day I had to get up to go fishing with my dad up north. Didn't catch any fish, but the weather was perfect. 80 degrees F., a light breeze, not a cloud in the sky. A whole hella lot better than 110 degrees F. that it is where I live.
Fish... What kind?
At lake we were at, Northern Pike, a long fish that has teeth, sharp teeth that will cut the fishing line easily, unless you have a wire leader on it. They supposedly put up a fight, but I wouldn't know; never caught one. I'm batting 0.000 at that particular lake.
You're fishing for fish or sharks?
We have trout and carp here. The last can become very big. My father-in-law once told me of seeing fishing a beast with a piano string and tow-truck.
We also use the "fisherman's tales" expression here. I also didn't believed the story myself.
But there are proven catches of carps, in the north of Portugal, with more than 30Kg and longer than 2m. And that is plain scary for me!
Well, of course there's going to be big fish being caught. You're in Portugal, right next the bloody Atlantic ocean; there's big fish in the ocean.
I, however, fish lakes. I'd be lucky to catch a fish that was a foot long.
We also have lakes. Mostly artificial, but we have them. And they breed very large fish inside them.
The open sea is a different game. The only thing I would like to get out there and get myself one would be a marlin. Or a shark.
And now I remembered you saying you didn't liked the cartoons being made today.
Remember ducktales?
Yeah, we have mostly artificial lakes here too. I think there are only five natural lakes in the whole state. The rest are man-made. Plus, there is most likely a large number lakes that are empty do to the lack of water that is inherent to the region I live in. Only recently have some of the lakes been full, because we've had a good winter with lots of snow up north. The run-off from the spring thaw has helped a lot.
Ducktales...hm, the name is familiar and I remember something, but not enough. If I recall, it was a Disney show, with Donald Duck, right?
Please don't talk about rain to me! It's June and its raining here as if it was November! We've had enough rain for a year by now. It's been announced it didn't rain like this here for the last 50 years!
Some cities have seen more water in a year than in the last 140!
Ummm... hi.
Ummm... hi.
