Aine - A New RP Thread (OOC)

Also, if you have any ideas or want to contribute to this particular thread (Aine) I'm sure none of the other writers would disagree with some fresh blood.

Well, i read the background of Aine, but i haven't read any of the actual story, so i wouldn't know where to fit in just yet

WS, as you might noticed in my vote, I'm open to support whoever may volunteer to direct this thread.

When speaking of myself, I can only say I lack the experience beneath my belt to actually make something interesting of a thing like this. But if needed/desired I can add my €2 in the pot (I'm feeling generous today)

The reason why I picked you Wolfsister is because you are the most qualified for the job. You have the experience, you put real effort into your work, and your work is good quality work. Plus, you actually have some idea of what's going on behind the scenes, with regards to plot and whatnot, which the rest of us don't have.

So, Wolfsister, if we get enough people who say they are willing to continue, would you take the helm?

Honestly, I rarely even pay attention to this story, not because of the posters, you all know that I enjoy posting with you, but because the story is going no where and the person who started it,knew all the details behiond it, and set herself up as the key player and centerpiece, seems to have abandoned it. I simply do not have time to struggle through another story that has little to no plot. Hell, a barely have time to keep my own going

Let's see...so far Mantra, Ren, Kalika, Qyron, Wolfsister, and Angelus (through Wolfsister) have responded. Only one left to respond is Satindesire. But fortunately, we have a near unanimous vote. All are in favor of continuing the story provided that someone who has been asked to will accept the honor of salvaging this story.

Okay, I've been asked. All that I can say is this:

I have NO idea about the background of the story. I just know the story arc that my own character will take -- it involved something pretty prodigious with the rest of the characters... so I can take you on that arc if you wish. That being said, I will have to come up with another story Arc for the rest of you guys... if I take the helm.

Sooo... I have no idea about the back story of this thread. If I do take over, it'll be my own story, not QM's original plan and I'll most likely be making it up as I go along with vague plot points I want to move to.

I erm... am flattered that people want me to host this. And I'm also flattered that other people don't want to pressure me into this. Thanks so much to both.

So... if there is a concensus... I'll get back to you but I'm feeling generous so I might say yes.

NOTE: If I take over this thread, it'll still be a slow moving one. About the same is my own Illusion Vale, simply because I cannot be here all the time to post. But it will be mostly player directed - not direct control like I have on IV - so that should resolve itself.

well, glad to know something will be changing in the thread an once more I state that if necessary I will gladly cooperate in what is necessary to make the story turn into something good.

WS, regarding the objectives QM had for the story, I've been reading again her opening sentences about the and I can risk it was a mostly open ended project so, if at any point QM returns, I would risk she won't be feeling betrayed in her objectives.

One thing though: I would like to know exactly what are you planning for the story. At the point we were previously, I can calmly say each and every person would have a personal agenda to achieve. So where are we standing now?

Alright... it seems that I have a general consensus.

So, I shall be taking over the thread. If QM ever returns and wishes it, I will hand the reigns back to her and give her all my notes on new storylines.

That being said, I will need at least a week to get things together and moving again. Sorry about that. I appreciate all the help offered too and will probably seeking that help out often.

I will be using the same IC thread and will most likely continue it as before. Also, my character will not become redundant, rather she will become more of a background thread of the story (qyron: I'll still RP with you to my objective). I will also, predictably be playing the Aine Thread as a character in itself (as I do with Illusion Vale) So pay attention to my posts because sometimes it will be a particular character and others it will be just back story.

I also want to say that I retain the right of all DMs. That is I can god mod if I so choose (obviously not for my own playable characters but things such as PC's and sometimes other characters) If anybody has any experience with Illusion Vale, they will know I never abuse this right. Should something not go as expected, I will most likely go with the flow but I retain the right to ask you to edit your post according to some rule or other I've most likely posted up. (note on godmodding: I will ALWAYS PM you should I need something special to do with your character. I am not inflexible, so if you say no, I'll just think of something else )

I've already decided that I will be taking over both the Aine and the Talarine. The Talarine mostly for story - the Aine through the New Queen. Once again, if QM returns, I relinquish all DM responsibilites.

In answer to Qyrons question: I'm sorry, storyline I cannot tell you. Simply because it should be a surprise. Its better that way. But the main drift will be for the Aine to recapture their capitol and lands. There may be other, deeper stories, but I cannot not tell them to you until you come across it yourself.

I know about personal agendas - I can fit them into the storyline if you wish to PM me your ideas or anything you PMed QM regarding said ideas. I will take them ALL into account. But like I said, I don't think that I'll be going too far astray from what QM intended - the retaking of Aine.

Right... so give me a week or so (send me anything you want to be a part of the story or any ideas/suggestions you have) and then I shall get the thread running again.

On another line: as I had expected, with the exposure of my character with other environments I found flaws and idiosyncrasies in it and it background - personal and racial - that I would like, if possible, to update and correct. Since we are in the good way to refresh the beast I would like to consult you (providing whatever details needed) WS, in order to do such things.

Personal agenda, for my PC, if I'm not mistaken, I was open regarding it to begin with. My PC is a traveller and if someone would like the pun to it, sort of a spy.

If you ever need to consult with me on anything just do it. PM me with either query or suggestion or even just conversation and I'll PM you back without fail. I do not mind being PMed in any case if its something to do with any story. There is no need to ask permission

You just noticed that? I've known that she's been in invisible mode for at least a month. She could very well be lurking, but I highly doubt it; no one could possibly be lurking and not respond to requests and PMs to find out where she is for so long.
