I'll write her up tonight...

Physical Description: 5'8" Dark brown hair and honey eyes. Her hair falls down to the middle of her back. Tan skin, near flawless. She does have a tattoo of a bear paw print on her left shoulder, it is about the size of a real bear paw.

Personality: She is a more introverted person, she is fairly quiet but there are people that she will immediately latch onto... When she is around people that's she comfortable with she will talk a lot but in battle she's very serious and deadly. She does have to pump herself up after a kill however and normally she is very quiet afterwards...

I'm pondering some ideas for a pilot character. I'm wondering what sort of technology is available in the way of aircraft. Jets and small prop driven for civilian use? Something a little more sci-fi? Anything that might be considered space-worthy?

Sighs.....Nerds lol

Sure you can have another character dear. Now you have too...pick a primary and the other will be your roomate cool?

As to the pink sweaters...well I just imagened a big tough mechanic trying to shop for a his daughter...."mmmm these are her size and girls like pink..perfect I'll get the whole stack"

A pilot....well more sci-fi to be honest is restricted to the real pilots. That being said I am leaving things open tech wise. You can join the mech pilot program which covers a number of flying craft and large battle robots. The program is for pilots and those who repair and maintain the equipment. How does something like that sound?

Devin already has a roommate... lol... the guy that she didn't sleep with cause he doesn't have any rubber johnnies lol

Sounds good. Wasn't expecting civilians to have access to anything that advanced, was more curious about the chances of someone at this school being trained on something that could make orbit. Races out to the moon and back are always fun too. ;p

Now I just need to see if I can hammer on a few ideas enough to come up with a character idea I like...

Well, let's give this a shot...

Character Bio:
Name: Mack Alvey
Gender: Male
Age: 20
Nationality: American
Race: Human
Physical Description: 5'10", caucaisan, slim build (fit; athletic, without being obviously muscular). Hazel eyes, dark hair, worn long, usually tied at the neck with a bit of leather boot lace.
Personality: Usually quiet, somewhat aloof. Doesn't say much, but when he does choose to speak, he rarely wastes his words on anything trivial. When in a cockpit, he's a little less reserved; although he still doesn't talk much, he doesn't always fly "by-the-book". Tends to stick to the basics; travels light, bringing very little that isn't necessary or at least useful.

Family Background: Father was a businessman; not for a huge company, but he made enough money for the family to live rather comfortably. He managed to make opportunities available for Mack to explore his interests, and decide what sort of career he might want. His mother married soon after college, and has only had a "career" as a housewife. Much of her college studies were associated with various European mythologies and legends. Mack has read a fair ammount from her old college books, and so has a passing familiarity with major elements of Greek, Roman, Celtic, and a little of Norse mythologies and legends.

Skills:
Ambidexterous, although for trivial activities like writing or eating, he favors his left hand.
Above average perceptive abilities; often able to spot objects or movement, or hear things that others miss.
Tested out of several courses in High School, but chose to fill out his schedule with elective computer courses; is proficient in programming, and computer repair.
From a young age, showed considerable interest in flight simulators on the computer, demonstrating a natural feel for flying, and considerable situational awareness, being able keep track of several nearby airborn objects, even in simulated dog-fights.
His father called in some favors, and promised to owe a few more, to get him some seat time in actual planes (light, single prop planes) at a near-by airport. Earned his pilots license by the time he was 15, and is currently rated to fly single engine props, and small jets.
Some basic medical training (part of the courses required to get his pilots license).
Often watched any repair work being done on planes he's flown. Has passing knowledge of the systems involved, and can usually identify the most likely sources of a malfunction, although unable to perform more than basic repairs and maintenance on his own.

Career Skills: Worked as a charter pilot at a nearby airport, usually ferrying cargo, but occaisionally passengers.

Dorm: Air Defense

Mack Alvey....I like what I read mostly. Just seems to me you would lack a lot of hands on stuff. Having a pilots license yes...working as a pilot I don't think so....Sound fair?

If by "hands on stuff" you mean hand-to-hand combat, or skill with firearms, then yes, he doesn't have much of that. If that's not what you meant, you'll have to clarify.

As to the charter pilot thing -
Not likely he'd be working for himself, no; but he might have gotten work at some outfit based out of the local airport. Probably wouldn't have had it very long, but he is old enough to be out of high school. Even not being with a company very long, he might have been sitting co-pilot for some shorter runs, as a probationary sort of thing, and it's entirely possible, if any of the regular pilots knew him from when he was getting his pilots license, and trusted him, he might have actually been at the controls for a few flights, just being co-pilot "on paper".

Probably wouldn't have been doing long solo runs for work, but mostly what I was aiming for was having more flight experience than just "oh, I've got my license". Flying for fun may log a good bit of flight time, but I imagine it also racks up a substantial price tag too, especially if you don't own your own plane.

While I'm thinking about it - does the school have its own airfield? And would someone who's been accepted into the school be allowed to fly in there (already being a pilot), or would they be expected to fly to a public airport, and hop a cab from there?

Hey all,

I will be taking a business trip for the next 6 weeks. I regret that I will have to be stepping back from the story (and all my other stores as well) for the time being. With any luck, I'll be able to peek in from time to time, but even that might be iffy.

I'll be back all. Never fear.

You guys have been quite busy durring my week of work.
