annoying newbies vs. ass hole newbies

personally, at this stage i almost wish i were an asshole. at least they get attacked directly and there is no confusion as to who is referring to whom. (i don't think i mean that the way it reads. it was mostly an inference to the quick and effecient resolution of people who are completely out of line vs. annoyances or newbie pet peeves.)

really, though. i was shocked at the threads i have read recently. this is the first time i've seen people come in here and be so blatently rude and out of control. does this happen often?

it seems so much of the board has been filled w/ one side or the other regarding the newbie "situations" and i'm not trying to waste more space. just curious and wanted opinions.

feel free to "lash" at me. i don't take offense anymore.

The negative connotations to the term "newbie" really make no sense. The annoyance factor doesn't really have much to do with how "new" a person is to a situation, but how inappropriately they behave in it. They don't bother to learn the rules and etiquette before diving in head first. Not all newbies are like that! Thus, I think the term you're all searching for when complaining about "newbies" is actually "dumbies".

I didn't buy my computer to sit and take lessons from it, the best thing about this whole mess is that you get to Dive in head first, get dirty , and learn the rules as you go.
