I do not see what the big deal is about newbie's.
I do not feel that you should be able to just place all of us newbies in one pile.
I do agree some of them ramble on and on. Some of them show no respect to others. But there are some of us who come in here and read and reply to posts very maturely.
I just thought that I would throw in my two cents. Do with it as you will.

Newbies vs Oldies

I do sometimes get the impression that a small group of posters feel the board is their own personal mailbox. Newbies are only strangers who havn't yet made any friends. And as far as making the boards sound like a teen chat line that's easily equalled by phrases like "HUG and XXXs to you [insert name here]" or "Lots of cuddles [insert name here] or the atmosphere of false rivalry that spreads itself throughout some of the posts by a recogniseable group of people. No we oldies can be just as much a nuisance as the newbies (sorry strangers who haven't yet made any friends) to other readers. And how can a post be just one or two words? That type of posting should definitely belong to a chat line or MSN Messenger or some other real time carrier.

Sparky is always annoying... he TRIES to be. Bid Dog, don't know you, either, but I like your quote as well, and hope that you share more with us. Um.... Everyone knows that KidRock1 is a prick, some like him, most don't. I think the only way to get recognition is to be yourself, even if it means you have little temper tantrums now and then.
