Anyone from the UK?

I’ve been relieved of dinner duties at home this year. I’m visiting while my wife prepares dinner. Then we will have rest of the day to ourselves.
I’m helping a neighbour with some prep Xmas eve and Xmas morning, because he has guests Xmas afternoon ( after I’ve left).

Well that’s the plan

I do enjoy the ceremony of doing a Christmas dinner. Spending ages pulling together what’s pretty much a roast on steroids.
Though now I’m wondering whether I should convince the family to up sticks for a curry house this year…

And they are ancient traditions. I love Christmas. Can be sad, but also fun

Absolutely. The older I get, the more I love it. I think that’s because I’m lucky enough to be part of a big family and one where everyone gets on, more or less. And I have more of an appreciation that not everyone has that. Also, I really, really like mulled cider 😁.

Morning all, today’s gonna be a good day. Nothing’s gonna get in the way.

Whatever fuckwittery tries to cross our path will be cast aside

I always prepared and cooked the Christmas dinner with the family when married. Since the split, ive always visited others. This year I will be home but my gf will cook a dinner and bring it over to me
