Hello Arizonians . . . . . .
I just saw this thread. I lived in AZ/Phoenix back in 1980/1984. A business move in and out. But we LOVED IT. We were in Phoenix just north of Paradise Valley Mall between Thunderbird and Bell rd. Those days Bell Rd was kind of the northern frontier . . . . ha ha ha. My business took me to travel to many places in AZ. Of course, Sedona, Flagstaff, and the Grand Canyon. Had to visit the Navahos at Window Rock. On purpose did it by car . . . as if there really was another way. And saw the great west of the USA. What beautiful country. Fell in love with that phallus symbol of Nature better known as the Saguaro cactus. What a sight. The sunsets from my home were the most beautiful view I have ever seen since then. Fell in love with De Grazia Paintings and many other Arizonian art. Hopi Kachinas. Was lucky to have been invited to a Hopi Shaliko dance. Amazing!!!! Spent some money at Tlaquepaque both in the arts and crafts and in a restaurant that was there that it now scapes me the name from my mind. The weather unbelievable. 90 degree weather is so fantastic in PHX. 115 degree is hot, hot, hot . . . . but dry!!. But with a poll at the house, there was not hot weather to worry. Ahh, what a great life those 4 years were. WE still think that maybe we can sell here where we are and move back to PHX for our last days on this rock. With the present problem of the housing market we may not be able to accomplish that. . . . .
Any way, Arizonians, it has been a pleasure to reminisce some great times. Thank you for the opportunity.
