Ask Me a Question v 12.26.2021

Do you have a favorite story here on lit? If so, share the title.
Most of the ones I have written are fantasies. But one that someone else wrote would be "Jenn's New Job" by @marquisdeslut. I love the idea of having a hot friend like that and helping her find her calling.

Do you have to set the mood before reading/typing a story?

No, the story is more likely to get me in the mood

Do you usually masturbate in the same place, or mix up locations?

There are two primary locations: seasonal in fact.

How far back should society go to right wrongs?

How far back should society go to right wrongs?
This is a tough one. Is it society or governments and/or institutions that need to pay retribution. I don't have a coherent answer to this, I think some should be awarded for losses because of but as you can see I have no clue :)

Do you think it right that governments tax citizens for welfare?

Yes, there should be some kind of a social safety net. I don't think letting people who are struggling starve to death is the right answer. The level of support is debatable, but yes some kind of welfare is necessary. Not sure where the cash would come from other than taxes

Did you vote in your last election (not how did you vote, but did you cast a ballot)?

Yes. Voted in person during early voting.

Can our political situation in the U.S. be fixed?

Absolutely! I drove 60 km to cast my ballot :) Also I will tell you who I voted for - Swedish democrats.

Can our political situation in the U.S. be fixed?
I wouldn't know, I am a citizen but I can't vote.

How much do you think a max tax bracket should be and what should be the earnings threshold for that bracket be ?

Yes. Voted in person during early voting.

I am hopeful, but I'm not sure

One thing I have very consciously noticed (it really stood out to me during the pandemic); is how the world that is portrayed via reporting (TV, newspapers, internet, etc) bears so little resemblance to the world I experience on day to day basis. The world I see with my own eyes is far better than the one I see reported.

What are you looking forward to this weekend?

I hate to admit I am not familiar with the Swedish democrats, or Swedish domestic politics in general. I guess the result of living an ocean away.

I wish we would come up with a monetary value that is needed to fund the government and then figure out tax levels for how to best raise that revenue; that seems like a better approach to me instead of trying to attach a tax percentage to an income level as a kind of social governance. Here's me being an economics dork.

What are you looking forward to this weekend?

Twelve hour road trip with my boy child - I love these road trips with my kids because we talk and I find out so much about them. The bonus is at the end of this one he’s home for a week (unlike the girl child I had to leave 1738 miles from home after our road trip!)

What are you least looking forward to this weekend?

Happy about the time with the kids, I would not be looking forward to 12 hours in the car.

I really should clean out both of my hall closets, throw out a bunch of stuff and re-organize

What's the furthest you've been from home?

The home I grew up in - 14000km, from the home I'm in now- 10700 km (Hong kong)

Don't really keep a log book on that.

Have you ever decided on a whim to travel a great distance at a moments notice / thought?

I haven't, trips have been planned

How many continents have you been to?

Yes, do you want details? :)

When you travel, do you ever have to switch flights in order to get where you are going? (i.e. no direct flights)

I'm pretty spoiled with options for direct flights living in a major city, but sometimes you have to transfer. Out of the way places aren't always easy to get to.

What's the longest flight you've ever been on?

What's the longest flight you've ever been on?
Continuous 13 hours, Jhb - HK, Jhb -Stockholm is 17 hrs total but its a change planes in Paris and wait 4 hrs.

Where's the furthest you've travelled to?
I have been to Shanghai but its been a stopover in Singapore and also from a base I assume. Shanghai is closer to Stockholm than it is to Jhb.Time wise its always Jhb-Stockholm.

Do you prefer one long haul flight or do you like t have it broken up.

I'll take one long haul. no need to transit and wait around.

If there are no barriers, where would you like to go to (visit) next?
Singapore again..
Lovely place. Food out of this world.

What place has a nostalgic hold on you?

The church I grew up in.

What are your plans this weekend?
Work, same as every other weekend. 12 hour days Sat-Mon are a given.

What's one fashion choice you made in your life that you regret?

Wearing sweats and a sweater. I still make that choice all the time, because it's comfy as hell. But every now and again I find myself in a situation where I really wish I was dressed a little better 😂

What is something that someone's done for you in the last week that was unexpected, but made you smile?
