Thank you both of you. I was very lucky and was able to just barely manuever my truck out of the worst of it. Although I did run over a good bit of debris that was literally raining around us from the car that was smashed. I have quite a good knot and bruise on my collar bone and am just now starting to feel the stiff and sore back I know I will have tomorrow. But am just amazed that I did not get hurt worse. One piece of the vehicle that I ran over dropped mere feet in front of my truck as I hurtled over it. I was so lucky it did not hit my windshield. Ah well, the adventure that is getting to work in suburbia!

I am sorry to hear about your close call. I hate when those things happen, last night was one of those close calls as well for me. I was driving down the road and turned but when I did there was a car on the other side that instead of slowing down he sped up and damn near hit me. I was pissed by far but at least I was not hit. Take car and plase let that bump heal so you don't get to sore.

I got nailed about a year ago by a guy who "didn't see me" and jumped out in front of me. Well, I guess I actually hit him, to be 100 percent accurate - though I never remember seeing more than a flash to this day. I was going about 45 - hit so hard it sent me across three lanes - two of them oncoming traffic on a Saturday afternoon - and halfway up the curb on the other side of the road. Totaled my car and banged me up pretty badly too.
Oh -- and he didn't have insurance, which was a nice cherry on top of it all.
So feel better, sweety -- could have been much, much worse.
