You are all so great...and here I have been such a lazy hostess of late with virtually no posts and barely a sighting of a naked arse or ta-ta! Really, someone outa have a stern talking with me and perhaps a bit of a spanking!!

Summer time is such a crazy time of year...all sorts of family requirements and plans. Our family guests left yesterday and hopefully the Devil and I will have a bit more time to partake of our guilty pleasure that is LIT!

Hope everyone is having a fun summer so far.....so to spark some conversation....What is everyone's summer time plans? Any vacations/travel planned? Special events etc? Give it up folks...let me know what the rest of the crazy world gets up to during the summer.

Only fair for me to start....the Devil and I are planning a trip to Texas (our first) to visit his brother. Because we are gluttons for punishment, we are going in Aug. *begins to sweat at just the idea of that!* We also have a camping trip planned which should be fun with another family who has absolutely no skill/experience with the great outdoors! That should be interesting! How 'bout y'all?

The big day was yesterday (how it was not advertised ad nauseum across the internet, I do not know! *heavy sarcasm*) but as is typical, the birthday celebrations are being dragged out over a week. Have to celebrate with friends, one side of the family, the other side of the family etc. Ironically, the only day this week I am unlikely to do any celebrating was the actual birthday itself for which I worked a 12 hour shift LOL.

Summer

I'm sorry to hear that you have to go to Texas in August. The only time of the year I would want to go there is the springtime. I was stationed at Ft. Hood and spent many summer weeks in the field doing support work for the 2nd Armored Division. The heat was intense, especially when you consider that there were no trees to take shelter from the sun.

I don't have any plans for summer. It is a busy time for work and I can't take vacation from it. The closest thing to downtime that I get is when work is slow; even then I have to go out and find customers. I still wouldn't trade summer for any other season. Hope your summer goes well.

Hmmmmm I am going to do something that I don't normally do or think is really appropriate. I am going to make reference to something and someone in a private manner that will not be obvious to anyone but the individual involved. I was just very touched and honored by this individual and am attempting in some small way to let them know how much what they did means to me.

It really truly made it hit home for me how dear people we meet on the 'net can come to mean to someone. Sure...we always think "the net is not real" but the relationships and friendships that can form here are sometimes more sincere and real then those in RL I think. These friendships are based solely on a person's personality. On how they really want to be and not on how society has shaped them. On how interesting, sincere and warm they are...not on how much money they make, what they drive, or what they look like. How could that not be a good and cherished thing?!

Anyhow, before I drown you all in my sappy sentimental mood, I just wanted a most fervent thank you to go out to a poster on this thread who has reached out of the "net" and made an impact on me. Thank you my friend....I think you will realize that I am talking about you. If you want to accept my thanks in public on the thread you are welcome to, but I did not want jeopardize your privacy without knowing for sure.

I think some of it is that I am just in a nit-picking mood and also some of it is just irritation at being careful on how the pics are posted due to newer regulations etc. I think too that with as busy as everything has been lately that I have not been able to work out as much as I usually do and am feeling a bit down cuz of that. You know that feeling when you are just not quite as fit as normal...lower energy etc. Anyhow, I think I am mentally putting that feeling on my pics now hehe. (Btw...this is not some manipulative attempt to get compliments...just a sincere reflection on my part...I have enough ego to survive a bit of low energy hehe!!!)

Damn...I am in a talkative mood tonight....where is my Devil? I need a reason to keep my mouth doing something other than babbling!
