scalywag, i think that the expense of a new TV is just a hit you're gonna have to take for the team. :D

ed

wait.

she wants the bigger screen and you're arguinig for a smaller one?

OK, 'fess up, now you're just bragging.

This is true. And I think this is where the Patriots staff excels.
Yeah. Except that there was all this hype about how Charlie Weis was gonna dismantle the Buckeyes because he had a month to prepare for them. Everybody seemed to forget that Tressel and Company had a month to prepare as well. :)

When it comes to TVs, bigger is better. *nods*

so you're saying size is important when it comes to TVs. now here's an endorsement I should listen to.
We're hoping that by the time our TVs die, which should be quite a few years from now, the cool new technology will be even more affordable than it is now.

We have two 36-inchers. Do you think that's big enough? ;)

scalywag: i'm sure any successful coordinator expects that kind of attention.

eilan: so should someone start a TV-size thread?

i want to see denver do horribly. besides, i gotta cheer for bill belichcik. i think the pats will squeak it out over the steelers.

i think carolina will do well but can't pick their matchup w/ the bears. in the playoffs i tend to favor the better d, though. i don't buy the 'skins over the 'hawks. i just don't.

ed

sorry...yeah, i did mean indy. while i generally feel that the playoffs favor pittsburgh's type of game more than indy's, i somehow just don't see a top-flight attack having trouble against the steeler's secondary.

frankly, i hope the 'hawks cream the 'skins. joe gibbs is a nice guy, but if the giants can't represent the NFC east, nobody should. :>

the carolina/bears game looks, to me, to be the best matchup of the weekend. :>

my horse in this race is officially carolina. i like john fox and i think he's a good coach. the panthers/'hawks game should be really fun to watch.

i dislike denver and their tendency of making justbarelylegal blocks so i'm gonna have to root for pittsburgh.

am i alone in thinking that the officials had bets riding on some of those games, though, esp the colts/steelers game?

ed

sadly, i didn't see the pats/broncos game, but dude...5 turnovers? yeowch! that just isn't a very brady-like performance.

the indy/pitt game...it was clearly a pick but the defender dropped the ball. i don't know WTF the officials were looking at but they obviously neeed a map and two hands to find it. they ruled it an incomplete pass and that's a travesty of justice. cowher challenged it and it cost 'em a timeout.

disgraceful.

re: that stupid call in the pittsburgh game: the offending official was the victim of vandalism.

so...who does everyone like in the weekend matchups?

right now, i think that carolina will edge out seattle while pittsburgh gets it done against denver.
