tiki barber is the most underrated back in the NFL. :nana:

yeah, i would have liked denver to drop that one, but after the drubbing the bills took, i think it took all the wind out of their sails. ah, well...

i'm irritated that terry bradshaw seems to think the 'skins can beat the giants. guess they'll have to go and show him. :>

Apropos of nothing, if I hear "Who dey" come out of the mouth of one more Bengals fan, they're gonna get a dose of Christmas cheer right where the sun don't shine. I just suffered through a rap "song" praising the Bengals, so forgive me if I'm a little testy.

hey, those cincinnatti fans haven't had a lot to be happy about for a long, long time. you really can't begrudge 'em their time in the sun, can you?

scalywag: bradshaw's funny, and periodically has some very interesting insights. that said, he's no phil simms, who i think is underrated both as a passer and as a commentator. JMHO.

Oh, yes I can. I'm a Browns fan. :D (Yes, we know they suck. )

figures. :>

hey, not every team can achieve success like carolina did early on.

i agree re: collinsworth. i also like howie long for fox's studio bunch.

simms did have bavaro to throw to when his butt was on the line and we know how much that simplified matters for him. i'm not seeing the voice thing, though. ?

marino's a bit of a doofus, IMHO. :>

I grew up in a Browns household, too! Right now, I'm just happy to see one of the Ohio pro teams do well.

Other than the Buckeyes, of course. :)

sadly, no: i was helping the mrs. bake the 500 or so cookies she always makes this time of year so i could watch the giants game.

btw: now that is precisely the kind of convincing win that i was talking about last week. :>

as i mentioned to the security guy in my office building, always bet against the spread with the giants. always.

i didn't get to see most of the game, and by the time i could they were already down 15. the offense couldn't have played well though if one of their 2 TDs was by the defense...

i'm beginning to be scared the giants won't cover against oakland. damned good thing i don't gamble.

that's rough about that pool. they're a kinda schizophrenic team.

i don't think shockey's a whiner. i do wish he'd just shut up and play the damned game sometimes, though. he's a high maintenance player whose numbers don't justify the hype, in my mind. i think he's a pretty good player, but the hype would have you believe he's the second coming of mark bavarro and he clearly isn't that.

yet.

when he can haul in that pass on third and long though, he's worth every penny they pay him. i just wish i was able to talk about how often he hauls in a pass for 6, though.
