Not every man goes crazy for the "Hollywood" type. Some of us like real women, the ones don't have to look in every mirror they pass, or wear more makeup than a clown. This, "I'm just the same person on the inside, and that's what counts." is exactly what I mean about the confidence of some BBWs. Many people believe the outside means everything. Like anything else in this world, the outside changes with time. Things sag, wrinkles form, hair turns grey, etc. Who a person is never changes. To me, that means more than 38D breasts or a size 2 waist.That is such an awesome thing about Lit. I've found more acceptance here and people that have as much attraction to BBW's as most of the Western world does to the size 0's. I have lost quite a bit of weight lately, and I find myself not wanting to get TOO skinny so that I wouldn't still be a BBW! (Not that that's ever going to be likely!) But I know that regardless of what I look like on the outside, I'm just the same person on the inside, and that's what counts. And being reminded here that I'm not less than a person because of my size has really and truly done wonders for my self-esteem.
Obviously, it doesn't apply to everyone. I'm the same way. I look at women that go crazy over six pack abs, and I cringe at what stares back at me in the mirror every day. But, to use a very old cliche, "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." Judging from the size of your picture thread, I don't think you have to worry about being judged about your height and weight. There are those of us that see the real beauty, that don't mind the "imperfections" you see (we all have them, anyway). I know movies and tv condition us to believe that bigger isn't attractive. But, they don't speak for everyone. I know it's easy for me to sit here and say, "Love yourself for who you are." But, I personally don't feel you have to hide anything, or that you should be ashamed of your body. I, for one, would be honored if someone like you gave me the time of day in "real life."

I think Lane Bryant is barely cheaper than Torrid....
I've noticed recently..walking by the plus size section at walmart...it's mostly exercise clothes....and the other clothes are still the granny style.

We don't have Layne Bryant around here. They closed their stores over 10 years ago...sad times. I troll the thrift stores and find decent clothes that actually fit me. And if they don't, I tinker with them until they do. I just wish the people that make plus sized clothes would realize that we're not amazons. I'm short, and I have to either hem all my pants or wear capris.
But, honestly, I wouldn't complain about having a man that truly worshiped my curves and sexiness...

I think the one Lane Bryant we had is still here...I don't go there so I haven't a clue.
I'm short as well..so I usually have to roll my pant legs up so I either look like a guy from the 1950's or roll them into capri's. :l
