I'm short as well..so I usually have to roll my pant legs up so I either look like a guy from the 1950's or roll them into capri's. :l

Lol, I usually end up buying capris that are pre-rolled and snip the tacking job they did and unroll them for perfect length jeans. Man it sucks being short!

I am extremely picky about the length of my jeans...ones for us short people tend to raise too high when I walk or sit..and long ones well...extend a good 4 inches passed my toes...
It really does suck. XD

Try Loop18 website. I buy off the clearance racks in most stores, and make the most of the coiupons they email you. Plus instore promotions, etc. The only thing I spend good money on is jeans. I buy a few new pair a year....and the ones from last year get moved to "everyday", and even older ones are tossed or moved to chore duty clothes.

I find things like cardigans fit nicely(and I have a big rack! Plus some belly too!!) And I can change it up with cheap tshirts and camis under it. A inexpensive necklace or bracelet....and you're good to go!

I have found it is all about figuring out what flatters your body.

Lane Bryant is just barely cheaper than Torrid...I love torrid's clothes but I cant afford them..and I cant afford to spend $50 on one pair of jeans at lane bryant either

If I get lucky some of old navy's jeans fit me but lately Ive been going cheap and getting them from walmart...all those cute stylish jeans are out of the question of course but for a decent cut/fit I like riders jeans, they carry them in petite too so I dont have to do any self-hemming

Its just a pain in the ass to shop for "trendy" pieces without spending more money than I have to spend..

I could never spend $50 a pair either. Maurices.com has jeans for about $35 a pair, they fit great, are stylish and better yet....they make petits. I am 5'5" but have short legs, so I frequently buy petites. Best fitting jeans ever! And they don't break the bank!
