I'm having WAY too much fun with this new camera and computer program. So, Snowy mentioned how pretty my kids eyes are, so I took a picture of myself without my glasses to show where they got their eyes. Then I got fiddling.

Thank you. We're still learning the camera, so we occasionally get blurry pictures. Part of the problem is if your hand twitches in the slightest bit during the picture, it comes out blurry. *grr*

In most point-and-shoot digital cameras, there's a slight shutter lag between when you press the shutter release button and the time it takes to write the image data to the memory card. If you're in a low-light situation and/or you're not absolutely still during that time, you get a blurry image.

Some newer, more expensive cameras now have a feature called image stabilization that improves your chances of eliminating that blur.

A cheaper solution is to hold your breath and concentrate on being very still.

Failing all that, you can also rest the camera on something convenient, or get a cheap tripod (or even one of the mini versions which are usually only a few $), or study the maual and a few sites on tips to experiment with various settings to minimise problems.
