In honor of the Seraphic one (AA) I have an old comment that a friend of mine found somewhat unsettling.

And some days you don't even get the sandwich.

This really belongs in the blurt, but it's too damn long, i feel like morose, fuck it, and i really don't care. i've a convoluted reason for the song ... one of the few that ever hit me that hard. Actually, i'm not sure if the song has anything to do with now. i do know, however, shit sandwich without the shit pretty much describes both.

Lot of time between now and then. Drags up all kinds of lovely memories ...

• sitting in, then walking out of a corn field,
• doing a 180 out of a fog bank at 40 knots in the trees,
• choosing to T-bone the bridge abutment,
• breaking left into green sparklies, rather than turning tail,
• putting it along the retainer wall instead of gunning it in front of three semis,
• pushing for something beyond another's reality and without trust ending up with nothing.

Survivable? Yes. Worth surviving? The jury's still out. Days like this? i wish i'd never walked out of the corn field.
