I don't understand why the word "scramble" has to be primarily associated with eggs. Couldn't it be expanded and wouldn't we all be better off? I am going to start scrambling cookies, and pickles, and perhaps Doritos.

I think the Oxford English Dictionary--besides being a fascinating and difficult to put down tome--pretty much insists that "scramble" be used primarily for eggs when describing foodstuffs. Cookies are crushed, pickles are piled, and Doritos are decimated.
At least that's what I've heard.

The trash pick-up guys came early today, before I got the trash out to the can. Fortunately, they're pretty nice guys, and came up to the house and took out the trash already in there. The "new" trash can wait until next Monday.

I realized that I can not buy extra soft toothbrushes. With the amount of time I spend each day brushing my teeth, the toothbrush never lasts more than a few weeks.
