Beer club

2 out of the 3 had the Black is Beautiful all the breweries are doing, both were noticeably different.

Interesting . . . I know a few places around here brewed it and I heard it's good. I just haven't seen it yet. I'll try it when I do find it though.

Couple big stouts tonight . . . Dogfishhead Worldwide and a local brewery's version of the Black is Beautiful.

Had this one over the weekend. Not too sour, just a touch of lactose.
Refreshing on a hot day.

That looks very refreshing!

I brewed a German Altbier last weekend. The style has a solid malty backbone yet has up to 40 ibu's of hops. It needs to lager and won't be ready for a month. It's for autumn drinking 🍺

Sounds flavorful, post a glimpse of it when you start pouring!

Gonna brew an American Porter today. Scored a 35 out of 50 with a variant of this recipe a year ago. That was good enough to finish fourth in it's division. This time I'm using lager yeast and cold fermenting it instead of the ale yeast and fermenting at basement temps. It will take longer, but should make it smoother and softer.

Buffalo Wangz is a 5.2 percent ABV sour ale brewed with Frank’s RedHot buffalo wing sauce. “No jokes about it,” reads a post on Martin House’s Facebook page. “Can’t emphasize how much this is actually a BUFFALO WING SAUCE BEER. So if you get down with Frank’s and a little spice, then this is the one for you!” According to Martin House, Buffalo Wangz is packaged in four-packs of 16-ounce cans ($18) that are on sale at the brewery now.

And that looks awful.
