You know, for that, I have to thank you. That movie would have been good regardless, but Curry was simply the best thing about Legend. From his appearance to his voice, everything was nailed perfectly. And how he managed to convey emotion with all that makeup, I'll never know.

I have the Darkness figure from McFarlane Toys. It's hideous. Even to this day, no movie has been able to duplicate the combination of actor/make-up effects to such a successful degree as the Curry/Bottin Darkness work.

I heard once that of all the movies Ridley Scott would like a second chance at doing, it'd be Legend.

True. Now there's a fantasy movie glut and they're all aimed at the kiddies. What I liked about Legend was that it was unapologetic. It was a fairy tale movie about lust, murder, evil, deception, what the original fairy tales were actually about. It wasn't a crappy Disney fairy tale movie.

Well, how about Sean Connery as James Bond?

Nope, have to disagree. If you're talking about just plain acting, then Connery made his own Bond character and did a good job with it. If you're talking about casting James Bond (with the original books being highest canon), then none of the actors have got it right yet, with Pierce Brosnan coming closest to the lonely hedonist/heartless bastard dichotomy.

Glad someone picked that as well. The scene at the beginning, where he walks out of the bathroom, tips his colleague's wife's chair back, puts his hand down her dress and kisses her while mauling her breast, before looking up with a self-satisfied smirk and a quiet, "Mmmm." Not just evil, but casually so.

If we're throwing the floor open to television, then both John Simm and Derek Jacobi deserve inclusion for their roles as The Master on Doctor Who.

I remember, long time ago, when talk of a Spider-Man movie began buzzing. Eric Stolz was preferred at the time (late 80s). I think he would have done a good job. he had that perfect look for Pete, as I recall.

Christian Bale is just hot, he was great in Newsies too which is where I fell in love with him, make him Gambit and OMG would he so become my new dream guy. *giggles*
