yeah I just finished cleaning up after dinner (shrimp scampi from scratch, I know someone wants to know) and watching TV with my BFF. Sent her off home and came to see what you guys were up to.

I know I really should have it was fantastic. How often do you have shrimp in the freezer and leftover wine laying around. . . It was kind of an apology dinner to have to break the bad news to her that her very recent ex-bf was not moving back to MI, but instead getting an apartment with my soon-to-be-stepbrother.

Most people can be plied with food. Plus giving an angry woman a large chefs knife can instantly improve morale.

At least the ex getting an apartment means he won't be waiting for her at their house for much longer.

Except that he's moving in with my soon to be stepbrother (who I am going to kill for this).

It will jsut make family gatherings even more awkward. She's spent nearly every holiday with my family for almost a decade. And since her ex isn't from here, he doesn't know many people, so I'm guessing that Thanksgiving is gonna be painful.

Here's praying he makes friends. A lot. And quickly.

Long story shorter:
Went to a party Saturday night, found myself chatting with a lovely guy who seemed very receptive, then informed me that his wife was passed out in another room. But he seemed oddly interested. Never met the wife previously, hell i didn't even know she existed. I assumed I was a slightly intoxicated novelty, until after a little recon I discover that apparently he likes bigger women, and he's having a litle marital trouble. So hopefully it will sort itself out and I'll get a prize.

It's been a while since I met someone who made me think and gave me butterflies. I really hope for the best. And feel like a rotten human being in the meantime.
