This latest weather is going to suck! It was real nice to ride today but work got in the way. A few more weeks and hopefully all this cold weather will be a distant memory. Not much we can do about it.

Good morning, gang...

Wanted to hop on this morning to wish everybody a happy hump day. Stop wiggling your ass Secret...

Well went into work yesterday at 9 am only to find that two people called out. I didn't get home to 9 pm. By the time I grabbed a bite to eat it was 10 pm. I was to exhausted to come online last night. So I showered and went to bed.

It has already started to rain here in Connecticut. The next 7 days it is going to hover in the 30's / 40's and rainy. I am getting so sick of this cold weather. Watch it's going to go from winter directly into summer. From 30's to 90's in just days.

Well gang it's time to get ready for work. Hopefully I won't get stuck until 9 pm at work again today.

I'd offer you better weather down here in Jersey...but it's cold and rainy here too...yuck! I want it warm enough that I can walk hand in hand with my man in the woods (or other things )

Received some bad news tonight. The guy that I'm supposed to go on the bike ride with was in an accident - him on a bike vs a car. He ended up with a titanium rod in his right leg from knee to ankle, two large pressure cuts on both sides of his leg and drainage tube holes. He's using a walker and crutches now and is planning to get PT started as soon as he can. Needless to say this puts our training schedule back but he is confident that we will still be able to make the ride. I feel so bad for him and just wish I could be with him. Basically, just one word covers this situation for both of us.......

Wow that sounds Bad I'm just glad he's around to talk about it . It could have been alot worse . It just may not feel that way to him right now. I just hope he can get back on his feel and back on his horse soon . Or I guess I could just come out there and take his place .

YA KNOW.......we could always use a third on our team. I've always had this fantasy of "biking" and "camping" with two guys. WOW, a dream come true of doing the ride and a fantasy fulfilled at the same time. I'd be the happiest gal on the road.

It's a grey dismal morning here in Woodbury. The wind is blowing and it's cold again. I will have to dump the ice in the bird bath. We are expecting snow here over the next couple of days. It's like we're going backwards...

GG happy to hear you'll be able to attend are first cook out. I tryed to get you as much lead time as possible....

Secret I am so sorry to hear about your riding buddys accident... However don't get discouraged and let up on your training. I still have confidence in you and see you up in the front of the pack...

Well, we're back to square one here. The ground is snow covered and they plowed the road laying down fresh sand and salt. So it looks like it will be at least two to three weeks before the bike goes out again. There is even talk about a lake effect event. Great

Howdy all,

It's snowing here in Michigan, again! No bike riding for a few days at least. Luckily no classes scheduled for the weekend, as it's a holiday!

Jaded,,, I've penciled in the 20th, but not sure if I'm gonna be a "for sure". I have to make sure I can leave my work,,, and I also have a seminar that I have to be at on the following Tuesday morning. So that only leaves Monday for traveling back,,, and if it's a rainy day,,, well, you get what I mean. As you say,,, it's only the first one. But still would like to make it. We'll see.

Secret, so sorry to hear about your friends accident. I can't believe he is still considering doing the ride, but good for him! Pass along good thoughts for me.

J, Haze and KW and Snake – thank you guys for your kind thoughts and words of encouragement. I’m gonna keep on training just like nothing has changed. My friend is a very determined fella so I don’t think this setback will keep him laid up for long. I just feel so bad for him and it sort of scares me a little knowing that people in cars don’t pay attention to bike riders. Guess I’ll be wearing electric yellow and blaze orange colors so maybe I can be seen.

Oh and congrats to KW – you made the Sexiest and Most Attractive Males on Lit thread…..you’re a dog man……..but hey, “you’re a good dawg”

Sorry about the snow over there in MI I feel sort of responsible, as it came from this direction. We didn’t get anything but cold and heavy winds but the north got a pounding. Deceptively sunny here today but colder than a witch’s left one. And, we all live north of the Equator why? Ummm no abla Espanol. (and probably don’t spell it correctly either) I hope that when it does change over it just gets stupid hot – I sure could use some heat on my bones right now.

...Got the week almost done, like everyone else, it has turned colder, and been so windy today. No weather, so am still riding, altho a bit cooler now.
...Hate to hear 'bout your friends accident secret, it's a great hobby/lifestyle, but as careful as we can be, its still very dangerous. I hope he continues to ride, and gets better quick.
...Sounds like your premonition payed off as well bimori, glad ya did go back and get your 'gear'. I am very bad in my ridin' habits, I wear a skid-lid, and seldom even hook the chin-strap. I think about it sometimes, but still don't like goin' back to a full face type helmet.
...Good to hear from ya webb, glad to hear your still goin' strong, and i agree spring is comin', altho it don't much feel like it today...
...Gotta get off here, still gotta feed, and may go for a short ride, got a big equipment sale this sat. and they are movin' the 'junk' in, so need to go check it out, don't know if I'll be buyin', but always like to go...

Good evening, everyone...

It has been breeze and chilly all day long. We have been getting snow flurred off and on all day but nothing sticking to the ground so far. Understand it is going to be like this through Monday.

Hazeny and KnightWing I am sorry to hear about thge accumulation oif snow. I am waiting for the state and town to get some of the sand picked up. I amlost dropped a street bike rounding a turn on sand and I wasn't going fast. Street bikes don't like sand very much and neither do I. With all the sleet and freezing rain that fell on us they dumped a lot of salt and sand this year.

KnightWing I will put you down as attending. If there is a change in your schedule just let me know my friend.

GG the theme for the first cook out is gonna be naked... Wear something approperiate sweetie... Actually not sure if I was going to do a theme first time out. Figured I would keep it simple and just go with getting to know everyone. How ever I do have my Mardi Gras beads... For those gals that wanna show me their tits!

Snake enjoy yourself at the equipment sale Saturday. Saturday I have to cover for one of the driver and drive an International 4700 cargo body. My boss is one lucky sob that my ass is so versatile.

Secret let me tell ya about 4 wheels... I don't care what your wearing they still won't see ya. You can have a billion lights on your bike and they won't see ya. Shit you can have a fucking marching band with ya and guess what. THEY WON"T SEE YA! Especially if the have a cell phone to there ear they become totally blind. A little secret carry some 3/8 inch ball bearing with ya. If someone comes up on your rear tire just lob maybe three of them over your left shoulder. Three should be enough to take out the assholes windshield. Nothing like the excitement of seeing clearly out a windshield and in a split second not being able to see jack shit...

OK gang I need to get a cup of coffee and get out of my work clothes. Nothing like a nice hot shower to wash the day off your body. Ladys with these 19 inch biceps I have a difficult time reaching the middle of my back. If perhaps I could persuade maybe one or two of you to join me in the shower. You know really lather up those HARD to reach spots I can't seem to get. You know me I'd gladly return the favor...
