Condiments??? What are you talkin' about, dude? Labeling others is a natural mental system to help us identify and refer to certain groups of people who share certain qualities. If I say an African American is black, I'm not insulting him, I'm stating an indesputable fact. When stating opinions, labels become subjective and are relative to those who use them. You may label certain people differently than I do. But you do it. You have to. It would take too much time and energy to draw out your thoughts to mentally refer to everyone individually. Grouping them together by their similarities is more convenient. Jobs are labels. Genders are labels. Etc.
