Bloodmoon Chronicles

Beorn

"I guess we could spare a couple of hours," Replied Beorn , casting a rather suspicious look at this Lathrol character.
With that he took a position in an uncrowded corner and took the lute from his back. He began to play, doing his best to stay within the rather narrow confines of music humans would find acceptable, but occasionally slipping into the more complicated melodies only his supernatural counterparts could appreciate.

Chase

Chase rolled his eyes. They were all idiots. Granted, the man hadn't exactly hung around last time, but Chase recognized him. I mean, seriously, the man had seemed suspicious back then, and now this. He assumed the man was either an idiot, or playing with the others.

Well, the others hadn't shown any desire to pay him, so he had no desire to point out who the man was. Chase always made it a point to pay close attention to details and people. After all, one never wanted an ass with a grudge finding out one's secret.

He finished his drink, and paid the bartender, sighing at the lightening of his moneypouch. He glanced at the gold, and gritted his teeth. The man was too smooth. He tried to act like he wasn't the man from the last town, but Chase knew. The voice and build were similar enough that he was certain. And he didn't like it. It was probably a trap.

He glanced at the gold, and shook his head. Let the other take it up if he wanted, and maybe take the leeches with him. But he didn't know what was going on, and he wasn't prepared to walk into a trap unless he knew why it had been laid. And if it wasn't a trap, well, he just didn't like the situation.

He stood up, and turned to the door. Best to just walk away. Go on his merry way. Of course, he could use the money, and it wasn't like hehad anything else to do. He shook his head. No. It was too much money, especially for a down payment. Either the man was trying to buy away Chase's caution, or was paying for Chase's 'Dangerous and Unliked' extras without telling Chase what was involved, first.

It was too much money not to at least try to haggle about. It was wrong, very wrong. He opened the door, stepping outside. He took a deep breath. He may be only a lowly mercenary, but he was smart enough to know what jobs smelled too much of roses to be worth chancing.

Lathroll noticed Chase Walk out side so he Excused him self for a moment And Wento talk to Chase When he finaly Fased Chase Lathroll Spoke

"Sir I Know you reconisse me , I was in the other town And I KNow all About Wear wolfs For I have Pissed a few off In the Town Be for this One In So need the Protection And Im pay good If The Pack off wolfs After me Dont Get You. That is Whay the Down payment Is so High i Dont think any But May by One will Mackit To The Town Of Lestat"

Chase

Hishand tightened into a fist as he cooly looked the man over, gauging him. How strong was he? What was this man? Could he be trusted? He scowled.

"You know what? I'm tempted to believe you. But I'm no where near stupid enough to listen to anything you say, now that you admit you knew I recognized you but still lied to my face. That's either blind arrogance or blind stupidity. As a rule, I follow neither unless I know what I'm getting myself into."

His right hand curled around the hilt opf one of his knives, and he kept a close eye on the man. "So leave me alone. Do whatever the hell you want, but don't plan on me being a part of it."

" Fine I dont care If you Help me or not I only asked because next ot that music playing fellow you look look like the strongets out of the four that seemed interrest. I figured that eiter you are The Music player would be the one to survive. But If you are scarred Than it dont Bother me. I cna find some one els who wants or needs all the money I am wiling to pay." With that he turned to go back to his Dinner with the pritty young woman

Chase

Chase smiled. "Good to see we agree, then. Well, have a nice life, hope it's nice and long. Good travels to you."

He released his grip on his knife, and relaxed, letting his muscles loose. There were those who would take up the challenge just to prove themselves strong or brave enough. Chase, however, was not one to rush off into danger just to prove himself.

It was hard enough staying alive when cautious. No reason to go around throwing things off. The vampires, at least, had no clue what they were getting into, so vague information fit. However, he didn't trust a man who said a pack of werewolves was after him, and so he needed to hire people to protect him who would die.

Especially if he thought four , or maybe five, could go against a pack. Too much was vague, and in ways that were too suspicious for him. He looked in the direstion of the town the man was going in. His eyes narrowed, and he began to walk.

After getting an hour or two on the road he yawned, and moved off to find himself someplace to catch a few hours of rest. If he was lucky, he could get there before the others did, and see what was going on.

Lathrol sat down at The table in front of His new beautiful company ." Well Malady i am sorry about the interuption. So will You Acupany me to Lestat"
