Blurt Thread III - Emporium of Unexpected Exclamations & Revelations

Ah, I see. You're from away. That explains a lot.;)

Ayuh! :D

Exactly. I have been trying to remove the "Massishness" from my driving.

Well, thank goodness you're not reading a newspaper! That helps a little. I've never seen that, not even in MA. As long as you aren't going twice the speed limit, flying through 3 lanes of traffic in one fell swoop without even so much as a signal light, let alone looking over your shoulder, you should be fine. :)

I saw it where 90 intersects 128. Scared the heck out of me.

I survived driving like a youngster, and now I just wince when I hear of a pickup crossing three lanes of traffic (tried, rather, and spectacularly failed) or someone trying to break the sound barrier.

Ok, now I feel old. :)

Oh PBS, you suck. You promised 2 hours of Poldark tonight and left us hanging 10 minutes early. :(

You know the best part about being 43? The fact that my boyfriend will always be older.

Boyfriend!?!?!?!? This is new! Just how old is this bloke anyway, I mean, if he's older than 43 . . . Do people even live that long??!?!?!;):D

I feel your pain, but l hope you finally got your Poldark fix.

You should check out his 2009 series Desperate Romantics. I think you'd enjoy it 😊

Thank you! Minishine is perfect, and the image of his big sister when she was a newborn. Me? I'm in love.

Totally perfect and adorable. Great job mama! You make some pretty babies.

I texted babyminx at bandcamp and apparently there was screaming and squealing and jumping up and down. :D

I'm not sure I agree. After all, some of them grow up to be regulars on the GB. ;)

True, but while they were babies, they were all lovable and sweet. At least for a while, until something went horribly wrong in their upbringing, leading them to the GB. ;)

Congratulations, Rainshine! May each of your lives be filled with love and blessings.

I wonder how many of them were forced to move away from idyllic places like Maine, which is, of course, the bestest of all idyllic places.

How could you not love a sandwich like this one from Red's Eats in Wiscasset?

It is very idyllic. Honestly, I was questioning my decision to stay this past winter. Hopefully this winter isn't quite as snowy. I could do with a little less shoveling.

Your link didn't work. We drove past Red's last week. The line was insane, of course. My niece wanted to know why everyone was standing around. I told her they were waiting to eat. Her response was, "Wouldn't it be easier to just to go to McDonald's?"

Fixed the link. It was probably ten or fifteen years ago, but I recall that McDonald's in Maine used to sell a $5 lobster roll in the summer. It was pretty light, but at least the contents were actual lobster.

Winter is one of Maine's best features, though you do have plenty of opportunity to build up your shoveling muscles. :)

They are famous for their lobster rolls. If I ate lobster, that'd be the place to go. Looks like lots of real lobster, not drowning in mayo.

Yeah, I'm over shoveling. I think I can stick it out til my daughter graduates, then start looking for someplace similar to the quiet lifestlye, but with no snow.

midwestyankee;69842923]I like lemon curd. :D

;) you're in! *offers neck and right shoulder for taste-test*

actually, I've decided that, rather than rolling around in the curd, I'd much prefer Saucy to apply it with a spatula.

topless, of course.
