Blurt Thread III - Emporium of Unexpected Exclamations & Revelations

As of today, I've wasted 12 years of my life here. Not that I'm around all that much these days.

Relatively speaking, I'm in my second semester of junior year in college. Pretty sure that some of those years disappeared in the haze of bad parties. ;)

Prisoner is Ryan Adams' greatest album in a long long while. Can't stop listening.

I haven't sat and played it through yet, but have heard some really good things.

I've spun through this wee gem many, many times over the last few months, a wonderful cover of a great Dead song.
He's done it in his live shows, but this version with just him and his guitar - like most extraordinary songs - is sublime, with the minimalist treatment of just voice and acoustic guitar.

I don't know why I did not think to share this with you sooner, given your appreciation of singer / songwriters, Ryan Adams specifically, and denim.

A week or so ago, an older gentleman stopped me on my way into a store and said "You are a most attractive woman."

I'm still smiling every time I think of it.

goodbye, shitty current employer; hello, awesome new employer!

Congratulations on the new gig!

I do, indeed! :)

Life has been crazy busy the last several months, but is finally settling down.

Hope you & yours been well!

Life has a way of doing this sometimes. Great to see you posting!

Clearly, his advanced years have not impaired his ability to recognize a fine looking good little witch. ;)

Yes, it does. It's great to have a sense of normalcy again. So glad to be back in my own house. Construction is not all it's cracked up to be. But in the end, it's worth it. :)

No one expects ...oh wait, that's the Spanish Inquisition not me. Hey OT, how's tricks?

Rainy, that post still brings on a giggling fit.

Greetings O' Saucy One, I'm in a new state (finally made it) with a very different culture to get used to. ;) You still upping the badass ratio in PA?

Of course. Someone has too.

Major culture shock? :D

thanks em!

nice to see you, minxie. :>

That's an understatement to be sure.

Some things are similar, while some are shockingly different. I think the biggest difference is the fear factor that Mass tries to impose on its victims, I mean citizens, is absent here.

And there are a lot more cows and horses. :D

Thinking about a distillery tour sometime this year. Always time to learn about whiskey and bourbon. You still a wine fancier?

Man, it's so slow in here, I think I just heard an echo from a post that silverwhisper made in 2006.

Maybe it's time to come back home, perhaps.

Trim the hedges, cut the grass, collect the rain-swollen, weekly local rags from the porch.

Get the place presentable, so Saucy will feel comfortable kicking off her boots, stay a spell.

That, or replace the pool table with a clean and level one.

Of course. :D See if you can find Highspire Rye down yonder. It's a recipe from a distillery in the town I grew up in, but closed during prohibition. It's pretty good, but you can't get it up here--only down South.

Aww sweetie, don't fuss on my account.

. Yank, baby, you know what I like.
