No, in this case Bus pancake two casually threw herself right under the wheels too. The reason I'm going to take some of the blowback, is I'm their SME, and I should have known. I suspected some creative email movement was going on, but I didn't have any proof and wasn't willing to tank someone's career because I had a hunch.
I've saved Bus pancake number one's job twice now, by asking for leniency because she was going through a lot in her personal life. This has now moved way beyond my pay grade and is out of my hands. What will be, will be.
Why aren't we allowed to slap coworkers again?
Some office physical violence was wrong, but some was necessary. It's too bad the wrong ones ruined it all and now allows those deserving of necessary violence to walk free. HR really needs to rethink that policy.
