Vaseline is a fine start.

For your first time though, I think it would have been better to have a friend - perhaps a minxy one - assisting with the vaseline smear and application of the glittery bits.

You could take turns.

There is edible glitter—tho not as glittery as regular glitter—which is why I asked about process. I was thinking egg whites and edible glitter, but I’m still not convinced that’s a project I want to try out.

Oh wow. Smurfette was my fav when I was younger, though I can't say I was ever jealous of her until now.

My oldest daughter loves painting! Here's the last one we did together (there's even some glitter)

I used to enjoy the smurfs as a kid. I'd never drawn one until now, but there's a first time for everything.

I missed the pic of the painting. But that's okay... sometimes it is best to keep private stuff posted only briefly so I understand.

I think glitter is great fun for paintings. Whenever I do one of my stylized ones I try to find a way to put some glitter in it. If you notice on the smurfette one, she has some iridescent paint on her hat and dress and some glittery metallic paint for her eyes.
