Butterfly tries

M, I'm sorry to hear about about this. You have to look out for Phil and your safety first. And Shaun is an adult. I know it's a tough decision, but if you were scared of a physical attack from your son, it is time for you to throw him out into the real world and let him sink or swim. You need to take care of yourself and Phil. You don't need the stress and fear, not only of an attack from your son, but the fear of eviction due to the drug issue.

We love you and only hope for the best. If you ever want to call, we are here. J and J
Your a good man Joe.

My little sister was a total cokehead. I made many intervention runs home while I was in college. I lived on campus, but was only 40 miles away. And I have had handcuffs put on by the police more than once defending my mother. I was never charged with anything, but it got ugly several times.
Yes, I have been there.

Michele.....it's hard, hon...really, really hard...but you know what you need to do for yourself and Phil...

You gave Shaun the tools he needs to get by in this world. You gave him education, love and caring...You showed him right from wrong, good from bad...you cannot make him use these skills...you can only hope that he will come to some understanding that the direction he's taken perhaps is really not the best way to go! It does not get easier for you when he's out there alone...you'll worry...but you have plenty to deal with taking care of YOU and Phil...and then there's Steve...You deserve a life, Michele...Your choices were yours to make....it's time that Shaun makes his choices and lives by them....I'm here if you need me! :rose:

Just dropped in to check ya out and drool a lil.

Hope you are well.

Paul Butterfield Band

Love March
<1969>

Marching along
Thinking as time goes by
Sing a glad song
Sing all the time
While I make all the people
Feels so good
Treat all my brothers like I should
See all the houses all in place
Living's no longer an empty space

Marching along
Love as much as I can
Try and be strong
[List string the shoes I had]???
Good for the time that's not too far
Good while no jealousy and war
Aim my sad eyes into the sun
Think of all people just as one
March!

;)

I will be replying to you all shortly...in the meantime:

Not sure how this will work but I just created a new group where I can share all my photos which are not permitted on Lit...I will continue here, as usual, however, I now have a place I can share what I cannot do, legally, here on Lit.

Check it out? (and please let me know if it is hard to get to? *Is free to join and share* )

I think of it as my lil extention or enhancement to Lit

PM me for invites, as due to the nature of the group, it cannot be public

I agree about seeing the negative and not positive, but I feel all will work out in the long run...At least my optimistic nature tells me that. I suppose time will tell.

Hope all is well with you and yours
Miss ya!

Thank you both. He showed up after he got out of jail. He was told by the police not to come here without calling first, but he didn't remember, as he was told that while he was wasted  He cussed me out more, got a few things and left, telling me to leave him be forever.

He then called me this past Friday, asking if he could come get some of his things. I agreed, as long as he wasn't going to cuss me anymore and not start anything with me (Steve was here). Steve helped him find a place to stay, temporarily, and had a talk with him. He told Shaun that no matter what Shaun says, no matter what happened the other night, the result is the same....He has a major problem and he needs help. I do not know if he will do anything about it, but Steve told me that Shaun bowed his head and nodded when he told him that he was warned several times that if he continued as he was, that he was going to get worse and he was going to put me in a postion to kick him out on the street....And that is exactly what had happened. He said Shaun looked upset about it.

All I can say is that I still stand by my statement. He either cleans himself up, gets help or he will have to continue as he is without his mother in his life.

I suppose time will tell what will happen. I will not bring him back into my home though, no matter what happens.

I'm sorry for your troubles, you deserve so much more. However, I'm amazed by your strength and proud to know someone as compasionate as you.

On a lighter note, My dad got back from Myrtle just fine and was excited as all get out. He loved his first realride, and plans to go to both Daytona and Sturgis. I'm glad he's enjoying it. Makes me want to ride as well.

You "survive" better than most of us live.

BTW, I keep thinking I see you when I'm in your hometown, lol. Lije fleeting glances, its funny really. Last time was at the Reverse parade during Easter.
