Well since she is a friend I decided to go say hello to Red_Lynn...
Most Expensive choice I ever made *Not that it was a bad idea*
Most of my friends know I live and die by fords...I didn't know how bad a choice that was...*rectified...*
I took my 98' Tortoise to her Husbands shop... Explained I got a leak in my coolant.... He comes back with a simple test kit... Head Gasket.... *The 3rd thing on my list of PLEASE Don'T BE FCKED!!!*
Finding out that the pricetag for this is or would be more then my cars worth on tradein... I took my dying car to a dealership and now drive a nice dark blue 2003 Celica...
So warning....!!!! IF you Visit Red_Lynn... Make sure your car works perfectly!!! or you will be put 20K in debt
*Side note... Red_lynn is giggling over my shoulder as she reads this... I really like my car... It was a very nice visit...I just gotta give her SOME crap

You know Lance it's sometimes easy to forget that behind the horndogs we present ourselves to be here, that there are eloquent thinking and caring individuals behind each of those facades, and I was softening towards you because of what you had written...........................................

Space travel is still a dangerous business and there's a known risk everytime someone goes up. We've been beating the odds for a long time, but just like Vegas it eventually goes the other way.
War is the same way. Its easy to sit in our climate controlled houses or government offices and talk about how war is necessary to control evil, but none of us, or as far as I know, none of our children are going to be put in harms way. Currently there is only one Senator or Congressman with a child in active duty. Its easy to be a war hawk when you spending the lives of others, just like its easy to be a big spender and risk taker with other people's money.

So much for that naked riding fantasy with Cherrie I was having.
How's everyone doing, I've been having a few computer problems myself the last few days but a couple hundred $ later and its all better.
I had to go back and read Lance's story, good work by the way. Like war it seems we have a short memory about casualties that certain actions have inherent in them till it happens. Space travel is still a dangerous business and there's a known risk everytime someone goes up. We've been beating the odds for a long time, but just like Vegas it eventually goes the other way.
War is the same way. Your 2 cents were nicely presented.
I tend to keep my political / governmental leanings to myself on here. I spend my days teaching it, so when I come to lit, I remain pretty much silent on issues. So, I'm not going to add or detract from anyone's views. It is interesting to read the different perspectives that people offer up in here.

Naw, for a nickle you get actual intelligent thought and conversation, this was just rambling.
Ukin, are you going to Sturgis in a group or just solo (with a prospective passenger). I'd highly recommend a trip through Jackson Hole and Yellowstone if you haven't been through there yet on the bike. JH is probably at least a two day ride and then two more into Sturgis, you could make it in less but you'd miss out on alot of experiences along the way.
