Oh..I'm sure there are things not to love about Cali..but in general...I find it to be most appealing. But..that's just my take on it.

I've been in 47 states

Well, I too will agree that there are things about Cali to NOT love (smog, traffic, crowds, high cost of living, earthquakes, etc), but for me this is HOME.

I was born in Mass and lived up and down the eastern seaboard until the tender of age of 21 when I moved to Cali. Since then I've been in all the states except Alaska, Washington, and Rhode Island (we might have been in RI at one time, but I think I blinked and missed it. LOL)

In my humble opinion and without prejudice, I have to say Cali is by far the best of the states and I love it so very very much.

We left Cali and sojourned in Kansas for 13 years. Kansas was never home. I always felt we were visiting and somehow got stuck. I was soooooo glad that we finally moved back here a couple years ago (even though we were nearly bankrupt at the time). For one thing, my allergies have gone bye-bye. I haven't even had a cold in 2 years now. I threw my Claridin in the trash. That alone makes Cali the the best state in the union for me.

So that is JUST my opinion. I certainly don't want to start some kind of war here on which state is the best. And I will say that ALL the states have some of the greatest people in them. I think Americans as a group are the friendliest and nicest people on the planet (as a group, obviously there are bad eggs everywhere, but mostly you find good eggs.)
