OH! .. All the Yummy Nekkiiii PICS! :D:D YUMMM!!

*giggling*

It's a really really rainy day here, sort of gloomy and overcast with heavy rain falling since last night. Makes me want to light a fire and curl up with a cup of hot cocoa and a good book. But of course, there is no fireplace!

(Makes you wonder how Santa brings gifts to the children.)

Freak!

Just kidding :)

No, it actually makes sense. The rain falls and there's a pattern. Sort of lulls you into sleep. :)

I like the rain fall..... the monotone that just makes me relaxed and makes me easier to go to sleep.
And when I was in malaysia, rainy nights = cooler nights = less mosquitoes = a better sleep :D

Morning Asian ... :D:p:p Enjoy your HUM dayyyyyyyyy :p

Hey everyone :)

Let me ask you this... I was talking with a bunch of my Asian friends and we were wondering what the "right" age for Asians to get married now-a-days?

It's kind of odd, yes. I was thinking that now, globally, most people do not get married until their mid to late 30's. Most of them thought that is the right age too. However, more than half of them were married in their mid to late 20's.

So what do you think? I took into consideratioin careers and how long it takes to achieve career goals. Let me know what else should be taken into consideration and why/what age is best. (Really, this isn't limited to Asians but since I was talking with a bunch of my Asian friends and this is an Asian thread...)

Hope all is well with everyone... :)

If you want to have kids .. Early 30 is the best... Coz . .you need energy for you Child ..

You don't want to be too old for your Children.

And if you are merried too old .. your Children will be too young to take care of you ...

I'm Old fashion ....And Also you want to see you grandchildren ..right?

Sheehhh .. Vic ..times for you yet? ...

And .. " Loh pank shan choo" .. is not so good ... :D:D hehe

Thought provoking question, Vic. Seems like in Singapore, people on a career track marry in their early to late thirties. That seems especially true for the guys. They finish junior college, go into national service for 2 and a half years, go to uni, get started on their professions, date, play around, date, play around...and if and when they find someone compatible, they marry. The women in career tracks seem to marry in their late twenties to early 30's, probably because of the reason Gusty mentioned above--child bearing and child raising.

So...what about you, Vic? Are Gusty and I invited to your wedding?

:D

So my friends and I are basically right. Only in the States, or rather, for the kids here in NYC - College/University finishes at 22 to 24 (depending on the undergrad degree) then either Graduate School or start a career. Depending on how that goes, most people end up looking for a life-long companion ten years later. That would put them in the mid 30's. So if it takes you a long time finding someone compatible, that could carry you into your late 30's. Then there are those who are not looking to have any children, which means that could take them even longer to marry.

Me? LOL. Well, I have to have women who are interested in me first and me interested in them in order to date and possibly find that compatible woman before asking her to marry me. And if it all goes well, sure, I'd invite you and Gusty to my wedding! :)

Hehehe. I don't "need" another body in the bed with me. It's just a conversation my friends and I were having. Oh sure, they were doing the "Mom" thing and asking all the single guys when we were going to get married which led to the conversation. :)

Although, after the conversation and thinking about it -- it would be "nice" to have another body in the bed with me. ;)

I just don't "need" to have one. I'm not desparate to have children yet (don't tell my parents) so I'm not actively searching for a partner.

Interesting question.

I've always thought that it would be better to wait until late 20's, when hopefully I'll be settled and have a bit of money to save.

However I do know plenty of people who married young and old, and everyone has a different opinion. I don't think its a matter of the right age, just that it depends on the couple and their situation. If they feel the time is right, whether they be 20 or 30, then that's the right age for them.
