Calling all Asians

Paul,

Predilections are predilections. I won't fault a guy for tastes (or a gal for that matter). And I agree with your statement about environments and what one sees in one's own sphere. We can only go by what we see, but that doesn't mean we have to narrow the rest of the world to it.

Personally, I tend to like older men. It's just a matter of taste. Who can say why we like what we like?

Thanks for the compliment on my av. It took me ages to get it just right. (And, yes, that's me).

Cordelia

well, I have been lurking and following and waiting to step in with all my experience... and study of this matter.... I like your thoughtful comments Johnson_paul

cordelia.. welcome to the thread.. I love your 2nd story of the meteor shower.. so so cool..and erotic..

yes, I have been married to Gusty for 20 years.. and dated primarily Chinese girls from the age of 18 to 28..... part of it is because I speak Chinese... and yes.. much prefer Asian women physically (thought I am not an ass man.. and many northern Chinese women have very flat asses)

yes, yaeger is way off base with his remarks... they smack of being racist... though Asians can be just as nasty in their racism... (rude and crude remarks in local dialects to Gusty about being with a white man... is one example)..

I have long known that Chinese women are not subservient types.. quite the contrary actually....

one reason many Chinese women date western men, is that there is a certain freedom in those relationships that they may not have with an Asian man... due to societal pressures and expectations on both the man and the woman... white men... are outside of all that.. and are therefore viewed as more "fun" less serious - there is also a bit of youthful rebellion involved on the part of the girls against what is usually a very strict Asian upbringing.- . this isn't always true.. but I have obseved and known many Asian/Caucasian couples... and in Beijing we have many...

I also know quite a few caucasian women with Chinese husbands.. and culturally this has often been more difficult.. with a higher failure rate.. precisely because of the family stuff.... though I know several very successful couples.. another curious thing is that caucasian women in China tend to date artist/musician types... who are already outside of society in a way as they are more rebellious souls...

anyways as bugga once said.. I am a preppy turned chink... and really feel most comfortable with Asian culture as I have lived there so long.... I know that I am always going to be viewed as a "foreigner"... but as I said to someone today... in the US, I feel like I am from Mars.. and in China from Jupiter.... guess I don't fit in anywhere... and I have always been truly color blind.. dealing with the person rather than stereotypes.

and this leads to Eurasian kids.... yes.. I have much to say on that one too... being the parent of 2 and knowing many adult and young eurasians... for the most part, they do come out very beautiful (I would love to see a pic of Cordelia)...or handsome in the case of the boys... The chinese in China also believe that mixed kids are more intelligent than the average... well I am carrying on way too long here...

in Chinese we say.. Zhong Xi He Bing (sort of means a blend of the east and the west) well my life is an expression of that.. and this blend can truly be wonderful and enriching....

Ooh, chalk up another fan for Cordelia's av : )

Paul, not at all- your tastes are your tastes, no one should judge you on that. I like men in suits.. that's not to say that I DON'T like men NOT in suits ; ) ... besides, asian women like being appreciated : ) Can I get agreement on that from Mia, Gusty, Jade and other asian lit women?

Yaeger, if you read very carefully, (or even if you choose to read it carelessly, i thought i was being clear), I am not insulting your intelligence. Although your posts haven't shown any signs of obvious intelligence, that doesn't rule out the possibility that you HAVE some... *taps head, solid reasoning* I DO, however, question the line of reasoning involved in posting an ignorant remark directed towards Asian women. And not JUST Asian women as individuals, but Asian women as some sort of homogenous mass with easily generalized characteristics. AND THE CLINCHER IS THAT YOU CHOSE TO POST THIS IN THE PRESENCE OF ASIAN WOMEN IN AN ASIAN FORUM. Which begs the question, "WHY?!"

whether you meant to insult or not, there are going to take your remarks in an offensive manner. Based on my previous points, does this still come as a surprise to you?

Look, I'm really not looking to make enemies so if you're willing to just drop it then I'm willing to forget about it and even shake hands on it. I'm going to assume you dropped in on this thread out of some appreciation for asian culture, in which case, pull up a chair and have some green tea and caramel popcorn, I believe Mia has some going around...

shall i return to being a subservient naked chinese girl now or what? lol

one thing that hasn't been said here.. almost studiously avoided.. is the stereotype of the Asian man having smaller pricks... I have seen many Asian pricks on Asian porn sites.. and believe me.. there are many well endowed Asian men ... it is sort of like the myth of black men being "larger"... unfortunately the Asian men who insult Asian women with white men.. also have this hang up... making reference to them liking bigger cocks...

this is just a bunch of bru hah hah...

I have also heard, that Asian cocks are harder and last much longer than Caucasian cocks... don't know if this is true.. but is something I had hear...

WOW THIS THREAD FLIES, even at 2 in the morning

Hello again,
I was heading to bed, checked my email just to be safe and was astonished to see any replies after my last message at this hour and than was shocked by the volume.

Cordilia, again kudos to your av, it is clear you spent great effort to make it erotic, but not pornographic (not that pornographic would be bad :), but erotic is better). I never meant to excuse whatever that guy's names comments were, just try to explain to him that he has a limited view of the world. The trick is to recognize your limited sphere and try to find ways to expand it. Not easy.

Hongluobo, I can't agree more about asian women being strong, for example if you go to a Philippine restarant with a Philippina, they will give her the check, it is assumed she is in control of the couples finances. In fact the strenght of asian women is amazing and unlike many american women who feel the need to prove their strength (kinda like the ape pounding its chest), many asian women will let you discover that stregenth.

anyway, this seems like it is going to be a great thread to be a part of....only question, no talk about sex?????

haha, well, if nothing else... all this controversy has given our little asian thread more excitement than it's seen in weeks : )

!!!

well I can wax on forever on the delights of eating Asian pussy :p :D....

but this thread is not really the place for that.. and I certainly have been long winded tonight...

and yes... it is 2:49 am east coast time... and afternoon for MM and Gusty...

I love your thoughts and opinions johnson.... you know much more about Fillipino culture than I ... and yes.. Asian women, feminine with a backbone of iron (another stereotype??)... and an uncanny knack for always getting their way ;)

finally I too love your av cordelia...

it is true that Philippinas wish to not question the over forgiving, but the example you gave is exactly on point (marcos both accepted the body back and having elelda for a senator). But if I were to want to error on one side of either being to forgiving or not forgiving enought, I would want to be too forgiving. Besides the Philippines has some of the most beautiful women in the world.

What do people think of the balancing of life in asia vs. the US. Here we do not seem to have a balance.

By the way this is literotica, is there any sex discussed on this thread? LOL

We're Asian :D so we talk around sex. It's sexier that way. AFM revealed his lovely body earlier...bugga has her own thread. SexyWench graces us with her AVs every so often. Gusty...well, Gusty is lovely :)

I'm not in the Philippines, but close enough. Not sure about balance because I grew up more American than Filipino.

Hey, did you ever vote on my Penis Measurements thread? :D

Hello cordelia, Welcome to our threads. Hope you would enjoy the conversations here.

Mia a big hug from you from the central US :) so besides Africa, you have a hug from just about every continent in the world.

Bugga... I never meant that to be a derogative to any CBC, ABC or BBC.... and I apologize for any offence I have made, what I was trying to say is that race is far less important criteria for me to choose a partner. However, I do have problems for anyone who ignore, disregard, or worse, detest his or her own culture or roots. Unfortunately, there are some who do think this way.

Hi erc, I feel like I'm a hug magnet these days! :D Thank you...

I think I get what erc is saying. Culture still counts and it shouldn't be discarded with platitudes about lurve. But bugga's points are good, too. She has a strong foundation in her Chinese ethnicity (that's quite a feat, my kudos to your family, bugga) but has had a lot of exposure to different groups.

Before I married, I dated men of different backgrounds, religions and cultures. I've lived in 3 different southeast Asian settings and I believe that deep and true love can make any relationship succeed in achieving great depths of intimacy, sexual, spiritual, philosophical, yada yada yada...When the partners are from different cultures or backgrounds, there is just more work to be done. I guess a person has to ask him/herself if he/she is willing to do the extra work and get through the additional layer.

But then again, I know culturally homogenous couples who were high school sweethearts and after 20 years of marriage, consider each other's families "foreign."

Life is challenging to those who wish to be challenged!

I forgot to mention this before...

Its funny how us overseas children are seen as foreign when we go back home. When I'm in Malaysia, everyone calls me English, and likewise in HK. It's a bit disconcerting, since I've never called myself English and never will, but I guess its understandable. I realise that people like myself and bugga, while retaining chinese values, still have part of that western culture in us that we will never be able to get rid of. I don't feel that I fit in completely in HK, nor in Malaysia, the only place I really feel at home at is in London!

If anyone is ever in a bookshop, I recommend looking for a book called "Sons of the Yellow Emporer", by Lin Pann. It tracks the patterns of chinese migration over the last century, and the cultural impacts of it. Very interesting!

Yeager, can you offer asian women security, cultural acceptance and good asian home cooking? Be my guest then :p

Thanks for the recommendation of the book, AFM. Is Linn Pann an overseas Chinese?

I know what you mean about being English in Malaysia and HK, but Chinese in the UK. We are neither here nor there, but can switch comfortably (I hope) between/among the various cultures.

MIA -- thank you so much for the feedback on my poem. I have 20+ poems posted here, and a couple stories (both true). There's a link at the bottom of this post, if anyone is interested.

Fascinating discussions here. I always made it a point not to date men who had a "thing" for asian women. They would have been disappointed, eventually. I am so very American. I try to read and study as much as I can of Asian culture (oh, and ask dad), but I know I am American to the core.

As an aside, most folks don't know that I speak spanish fluently. It's funny to answer local Mexicans and Salvadorans when they ask questions. The looks on their faces are priceless.

A woman of many talents! Being multi-lingual is empowering. Look at hong--he's our thread translator for Mandarin, some Hokkien, and even some Malay. Hmmm, does the guy speak English?

This might be a stereotype (again!) but when a person is an "outsider" he or she seems to be more sensitive, more intuitive, about gestures, language, tone of voice, facial expression.
