Hello, I am doing great here, just enjoying the sunset from my room. hmmmm I was half right.... do I need those ?

Think I felt a blast of hot air not long ago....

Watched "Identity" today, starring John Cusack and Ray Liotta, has anyone seen it? Quite scary at times, and really well done, with lots of twists!

Hey ASM ,
Welcome here. I haven't watched that movie yet.... Is it a recent movie?

uh-oh.... since you and me english is all no good. Then someone will laugh at us lah saying that we are low class people lah. That is so no good. :D

Its fairly recent, been out a couple of weeks here.

Was a bit annoyed because I found out today that a movie called "Fulltime Killer" was showing today in an arthouse cinema in Central London. It's one of my favourite Hong Kong films at the moment, but I didn't have time to see it on the big screen because I'd already made plans :(

Cantonese film? Wow, at least you still have the chance to watch those on big screens. All I can get is from the video tapes here.

Late to the party AGAIN!

I guess I missed all the fireworks, too bad--sounded like someone was up waiting for his beating:D

Plus, I have actually witnessed someone who bragged that they go to "The George Washington University"--now, truly, I've seen everything!

Thanks to all for keeping it real!

" a full tank doesn't sound. It is the empty tank that is noisiest."

I'll remember that one, erc.

I'm going to watch the sunset too! It's 5 am your time...sunrise!

Oh there is one that my grandfather told me before
"there is only one sure way to get rich. Spend less, far less than what you earn"

Another hug for our hug magnet :rose:

Dumpling anyone? :)

Heh heh heh...your grandfather and Ben Franklin thought the same way.

Ben Franklin said, "The best way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it in your pocket."

Thank you for the hugs, erc, AND the dumplings. I love all kinds of dumplings. I've heard stories about Beijing cuisine where a group of people will go to a restaurant and sit around a huge bowl of dumplings, steaming hot. When you bit into them, the hot broth squirts out so that is the first thing you taste. Mmmmm! One day, one day...

Gusty...the satay looks lovely but I'm very suspicious, lah!

I'm not very up on films or movies. It's no fun to go by myself. Every year, there is a film festival here and I get to see a few different movies that way. When I was in Sydney, their film festival was on. Quite a few interesting offerings from India, England, China. Of course, I didn't have a date so didn't watch anything. Something about going into a dark place by myself...

Looks like I missed them too. I adored your comment on George Washington University :D

funny thing is that I am going into DC with my double culture happa son to visit George Washington University today for an info session and tour.

(we will visit Georgetown), though his first choice so far is my alma mater in west Philly.. founded by the man that MM quotes as loving to fold dollars in his pocket

Bugga and MM...

I loved and adored your most intelligently written responses to the gnu from gwu

gotta go lah.... one more week and it's sweet home alabeijing;)

Kewl :D
I love talking about movies afterwards, too. If you snore during the flick, I might "spill" the green tea on ya!

Hi hong...I can't remember what university old Ben helped found. Temple?

Gusty and I are counting the days towards bedwarmer homecoming...

I was thinking about the people on this thread...is there anyone who is "native" to where they live? erc is a transplanted Taiwanese cum Malay Chinese. AFM is a BBC; bugga a CBC; RH a happa, Gusty a many times transplanted "Gusty" (no other word to describe her, lah). I think SexyWench is CBC, as well.
