Casting Call for the land of L'anDanora.

Nyme

I thought he was an undead character? A reaper? Nyme can smell the death around him.

We are in a completely different realm. As far as I can tell, it is very difficult to detect movement unless you are from that realm or have a connection to it.

He is dead. He is, however, not riding a horse, so I was confused about calling him a rider.

Nyme

Ah, ok. that would be my failt then. I thought he was riding one of the horses. My bad.

I just wondered how an elf, who are rumored to have the most desirable bodies in all the realms, was ignored. Especially when she's NAKED. Probably just a mistake in someone's reading.

Actually, the nude elf did not get ignored. Naden and I were about forty or fifty feet behind Vushlo and through the underbrush. So, we couldn't see the elf. Vushlo is really the only one who is able to see her. Especially now that she's fallen over on the ground. Not to mention, DeathsKnight actually posted that he was leaving the area with the snake hole before you posted that you had come out of the hole.

All that happened to Nyme, happened at the same time he was doing his action. So, just as he started to walk away, Nyme popped out of the hole. Or at least, that's what I was shooting for.

Ah, I understand. He'll respond to that, hopefully.

[EDIT] LittleSprite2, how did your character examine the fire pit when the fire pit was gone?

I screwed up. When nyme said that she haded snakes, she was suppose to speaking elven. Oh well, too late now.

Hey, everyone, just a quick warning before I post.
TROUBLE INBOUND!!!

[EDIT] P.S. the orcs are of the kind like the basic ones in the LOTR series. Not the Urak-Hai, but the normal orcs, so they're about the size of a normal man. They wear some light metal armor, mostly vambraces and greaves with a light chest piece. None of them have helmets. And the trolls are more akin to the type seen in the Drizzt Do'Urden books. They stand about 9 feet tall at the shoulder, and are built proportionate to a man. They have no armor, but their skin is rather tough.

[EDIT] P.P.S. you guys can control the enemies to some extent, but if it starts getting ridiculous to the point of you never getting hurt at all, I'll step in. I mean, I understand that these are just orcs and trolls, I'm really talking about later on when we come up against harder enemies. It's like Leo, I think it was, said. Just be reasonable.

Emphira

Name: Emphira
Sex: Female
Age: 20
Race: Inarta – an all female race who are not only known for their glass art and their limited seer abilities, but also for the close connection they have with hawks and eagles. Born with both lungs and gills, they can survive on land and water, even if there is the rumor that they originally were born from a barren land. The only way to identify an Inarta, is by the facial decoration and the cold air that always surround them. Inartas are usually calm creatures, who show great deal of common sense but rarely do they deal with their feelings, unless it’s their gut instinct. Or was they call, just plain instinct.
Profession: Fortune Teller (aka Con Artist)
Weapon: A scythe and a staff that can change size. It is rumored that not much can break it.
Spells: Water spells, air spells. If the weather is right, she can conjure up snow. While it is a useless ability, it is fun to make snowballs and chuck it into your enemies’ mouth.
  • Shape Shifting – she can only shift into an eagle or a hawk, but it draws a lot of strength on her. Even though she can shift, it doesn’t mean she can actually blend in with the other birds. Her coat is as white as her hair.
  • Seer- While the ability does allow her to see into the future, she cannot control when or how it will come. It does not show her people, only scenes and unisexed voices in which she cannot determine who they belong too. During the vision, her body becomes lax and lucid, unable to move. It is one of her greatest weaknesses. Sometimes, although rarely during a vision, she’s able to perceive the present world, but she can’t do anything about it. This also draws a lot of her strength, making her weaker for a few hours time.
Looks: 5'6 and icy pale. She has no pupils but a black line outlining where her irises would be. Within the iris, there are jet black lines, shaped like lightening jetting out where the pupil would be. Her hair while usually pure white, can change to a soft, dark brown, while she has two sharp fangs that can easily cut through wood, but not metal. And she doesn’t want it to.
Clothes: She wears a two piece suit. It looks more like a belly dancer outfit, rather than everyday clothes. With two long slits down the side of her thighs (slit reaches down to where the skirts ends, at her ankles), she is able to move much more freely than most. On her hands are silver fashion bracelets that have small white diamonds. On her arms are an array of arm bands that have different signs on them, possibly from her ancestors. On her ankles, are leg cuffs that have a rather comfortable length of chain between them, enabling her to run, swim or walk easily. She also walks around bare footed, unless it’s snowing, then she wears thigh high boots. She has a silver head dress (nothing fancy) that is braided into her hair.
Enchantments: Boots are enchanted to keep her quiet and her feet warm. Each arm band offers her small protection against fire, lightening and weak sorts of metal. The bracelets on her hands allow her to have an easy time holding things or climbing through trees and even jumping on roofs. At times, when lucky, she can run up walls. But, she doesn’t seem to have perfected that yet.

Yes, it was. I just wanted to tell you that I will be very upset if you take control of my enemies. This is just a fantasy thread, not D&D. Granted, if someone turns on god mode, I'll understand completely.

Just to let you know, I never turn on god mode unless it is oblivious that I would completely murder the person. Cause, you know, an untrained kobold wouldn't stand a chance against any of the characters here, for example, so we could assume that we wouldn't be a dumbass and trip over a giant log behind us that we somehow didn't notice when the fight started. Trust me, thats how it works, people notice these things. I've actually fought in these midevil combat scenarios and yes, I really do use a scythe and I really do fight with Leo's fighting style, and you don't randomly trip or sprain your ankle on a pothole.

Now I'm just skilled enough to pull in second place in a tourney to some a-hole with a flail, but I'm fairly certain that all of the characters in this story would not trip over something or otherwise screw up in a fight. I also understand that accidents happen, but not with fighters of this calibur.

Sorry about the rant. Just wanted to tell you how it really is in a fight.

Oh, I understand exactly what you're talking about. The whole log thing was just an example. If someone goes all ridiculous on me, I'll just make some super stealth assassin come out of nowhere and murder them in the face until they die from it. I know what you mean. I'm not expecting any of you to turn on god mode. And it's not like I'll jump straight to controlling your enemies. I'll PM you first, to give you a warning, and then if it continues I'll take more drastic measures. And don't worry about ranting. I'd rather tell me you don't agree than be all seething and quietly angry about it. I enjoy the criticism, and I'm able to take it better than some people because I understand it's not you being mean, it's you trying to keep me from being a moron. The only enemy I will take control of will be the Necromancer, and that's only because I know how he works in a fight, and I know what he would do. If you guys haven't realized this already from the IC thread, my character has been chasing this same Necromancer for some time. The control will be rather limited, though. And, thankfully, he won't be the last step in our journey. Unless it all falls apart before or after that.

[EDIT] P.S. Oh, I completely forgot, Fiana, yes you can join.

Thank you for allowing me to join. I hope I do everyone proud.

do you think my char is close enough by now with everyone having stopped that when the fighting starts she would hear it and join up with everyone else aiding in the fight against the orcs and trolls ??

and welcome to our newest memeber *smiles*

I'd say best bet would be to wait a little bit into the fight, and come in around the middle.
