Killiing Ants

I hate to
bait them.
knowing they die
at home.


soldiering on
even as their numbers
diminish -
until they're gone.
 
The patter of little feet ~
wet feet,
it's just raining.

Fog makes the world die
softly.
Wrapped in a shroud.

A wet dog smells
worse than
a wet cat.

A walk in the rain
