Comments That Make Your Day

I received a very nice comment on "A Fresh Start at Christmas" this morning from Cali_Love:

Well done. I was so happy to see this morning that one of my favorite authors had a new romance published, I cancelled my plans and read it straight away. Well, it delivered, and will probably make my whole day. Thanks for sharing. 5*

I hate to have ruined Cali's plans but now that feedback has made my day, too! Thanks, Cali_Love!

I received an email with a question about "Written in Blood," asking where the Countess was getting all the different colored roses she wore.

"I can't wrap my mind around her having all these single roses every day or night pinned on her clothing. Where is she getting them? The castle is perched atop a mountain with steep sides and a forest. There doesn't seem to be any soil inside the castle's walls. Just where the hell do they come from?"

My answer was, "I don't know." Because I never even considered where she'd get them.

Presumably delivered by a raven to her window every morning. Ravens are very intelligent birds that would be well aware of when the soil in the castle food garden is unsuitable for roses.

‘Food garden’, you say? How did the Countess eat? You don’t expect the boring stuff to be described in a sexy story, unless manure is your kink.

It has erotic elements, but it is all that graphic that I have an erotic tag on it where it is for sale. Even here, it is in Novels and Novellas and only these as tags (erotic horror vampire bisexual female lesbian sex).

What’s in the suitcase in Pulp Fiction?

On Why She Cheated:
3 things.
1.) This was easily a 5 star story.
2.) You write incredibly erotic scenes.
3.) You have a gift for wringing every emotion out of your writing. This was one of the best I've read on here.
This was one of those days where I really needed an attaboy.

More comments on Bound to the Blade:

Anonymous was in a generous mood:
Looking forward to part 2
If this isn't' a one-off series fantasy story, the Keepers reward for Hew & Astor (Astor mysterious origins hero or demon is a interesting mystery
Continue on
Cheers!
And @Djmac1031 commented:
Very imaginative start to what appears to be another series.

interesting characters; i like that you made Hew simple, but not stupid. And while "Astor" may be a demon, he's not entirely evil, either.

Their relationship kinda reminds me of Venom from the comics / movies. Mutually beneficial for both.

Looking forward to more. Great job.
Thanks for reading and commenting!

(As an aside, I only changed the warrior's name to "Hew" at the last minute. Before that, in all the months of writing, it was "Thews" (as in "mighty thews"). So it throws me every time I see a reader refer to "Hew".)

A bunch of new comments got approved just before middle-aged-bloke-bedtime.

New follower @nahnah was brief on Bound to the Blade:

A similar sentiment from @oldcitygent on The Dome 03: Over the Edge:
Marvellous work. Please keep going. I know writing is a long process but this is compelling reading
(It's been a while, but just this week I've been working on Chapter. I'm about half way through.)

And another new follower, @Lotus_Kitty went through a couple of my WIWAWS, including WIWAW: Orgasms, Bang or Whimper:
*takes notes furiously*
*needs to pause due to nature of reading material*
*much relieved, takes further notes*
and WIWAW: Too Cold Not to Fuck:
"I'd discovered my integrity"
"That resolve lasted less than a fortnight"
XD

I can sympathize with the desire for views. I won't hold that against you! While incest is a squick for me in general, I have never had a problem with real world same age siblings who choose that route consensually and mutually. Incest stories aren't my thing at all but reading your thoughts about writing one was quite interesting and enjoyable. I happen to love SciFi and Fantasy, especially sword and sorcery, so I'm very glad I ran across a post of yours somewhere in the forums, and a reply to it saying you're a good writer who should enter contests. That brought me to your page. I was all set to smash that Follow button when I saw incest stories and I hesitated. Then I saw this WIWAW and you've gained another writing follower. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on fictional character development and feeling cheap after writing for the market! ;)
Thanks for understanding the process! :)

And thanks everyone for reading and commenting!

Five lovely comments on my The Waitresses - Christmas Rappin' entry.

This is a fun imagining of the Christmas song. What song are you going to do next?? 🤷‍♀️

Whew! That was a close one.
There were so many cockblocks and missed opportunities for sexy time that I thought I might have
landed in an anti-Literotica parallel universe where dark matter ruled.
I’m certainly glad that the law of averages finally paid out.
The anticipation kept me involved. Oddly erotic in its own right.

A truly wonderful story. I love it! Kudos on the prose, and you did a magnificent job on the sex scenes, making them sexy without modern vernacular. And the story itself is fascinating!

Alex, this is such a beautiful, gentle story. I love how the Druid covers all the bases, including the arts of pleasure, cleanliness, and the provision of backup sperm. The prose is carefully considered and consistent, and leaves some beautiful Christmas warmth as well as a bit of magic and mystery. So classy. Absolutely five stars.

Thanks everyone. 🙏🏻🕵🏻‍♂️

On 'Peace on Earth', a really nice comment from @Iwatchedher . Thanks mate! And a definite 'No Comment' on the conclusions drawn  Enjoy beautiful Fiji!

A wonderful and delicious story, as good as your best which is saying a great deal, and made all the more delectable by the fact that I'm reading it in Fiji. Your description of the diplomatic processes and issues is so accurate that i can only conclude that you write from direct experience, both of Fiji [or another Pacific Island Country], and of diplomacy, If so you have put your experience to excellent use here...wonderful characters, especially your narrator, intriguing situation, a dash of magic and arousing sexual chemistry, beautifully and vividly brought to life on the page ... making this reader very happy indeed. Thank you again, so much.

"I am a Trionyx fan. The story was well done with clear plot that the author brought to a satisfying conclusion. The normal marks of a romance were present. I liked the development of the characters as real life people with real backgrounds and difficulties.
The author beautifully followed the holiday theme by repeatedly going back to the Santa role at Christmas. If you agree, join me in giving it a highly favourable rating.

I had some great advice in the Winter Holidays comp support thread about whether to submit a story ('Remembering the Storm') under 'Mature' or 'Romance' as the MCs are in their 70s. I'm so glad I took the advice because the comments (under 'Romance' ) have been really supportive. Clearly age is no limit under 'Romance'.

Anonymous:
What an incredible story and equally incredibly written. Perhaps being a late 70's male affects my judgement but I have to say this is the best piece I have ever read on this site.

and

I had a bit of a cry during the first half of this story. As a Kiwi Cyclone Tracey was big news for several days. The record passenger load in a Qantas 747 comes to mind.
Never had the house blow away in a storm but the Wahine storm took a few roofs off in my Wellington neighbourhood and I still can remember the sound of the wind.

Also, @BlueFox007 wrote:
Thank you for a wonderful and believable story. Yes, older people can and do fall in love. And make love. Five stars for a story that I must share with my lover, wife. Well done.
and

@SW_MO_Hermit:
Well written, heart-rending tale. Whether it is factual or fiction, it tears at the heartstrings. Well worth reading.
