Dark Isle 2

Teril:
Well, he didn't look injured at least, he must heal a lot faster than humans did she reasoned.

"Good, that's a relief, I was worried when I couldn't find you at first!"

As the neared the church the sun was low on the horizon, and Teril found herself beginning to feel alive again now that the day was ending: all her senses were more acute and everything was in sharper focus, including her own thoughts. A tingle of excitement ran down her spine as she felt the strange energy flowing within her again. Forcing the awareness of these alien sensations from her mind she turned to Theo as they walked toward the steps, giving him a cheerful grin that belied the conflict within her.

"We're just in time, thank God! I imagine the folks from the village who come here for the night will be arriving soon, I'd better go check on our patient again and see if any help is needed downstairs."

Alright, check on him, I'm just gonna run to my room and change. I'll meet you there in a few.

Theo passed by a closet and took some antiseptic and thread to his room. He proceeded to wash his wound and stich himself up. Apparently the bullet just grazed him, so it wasn't lodged inside him. As long as he kept his shirt on, no one would know he was the beast man that was shot at the bar.

Darryl

The preist and had been asking him about nothing, polite questions, and Darryl being subtle and disclosing his answers, and for reasons he didn't understand. He had nothing to hide about his past, it was his present, which wasn't even being asked about, that needed to be kept secret. OR did that even need to be withheld he wondered. Perhaps it was just a freak occurrence, that his body was healing so fast. Perhaps shock had made him seem so weak instead of the seriousness of his actual wounds. That was a possibility, a definite possibility. Maybe, the creatures strengths were passed to him in some small dose, enough to help him heal faster, but not to turn him. Both were possibilities. As he thought about them, he decided they were very likely the case, one of them, at least.
"The day's getting late, Father," he said. "Isn't it nearing supper time? I'd like to be of some help, if I may, being as I'm up and about, and in your debt."

Father Johnathan:
"Good heavens so it!" the old man exclaimed with an amused laugh, "We had best go see to our supper." He led the way downstairs and then down a long corridor, "We could certainly use another set of hands around here, especially if you know your way around firearms! Many of the villagers have banded together to fight those who stalk us rather than cowering in their homes: they move into underground chambers beneath us for the night, and we must keep guard at the entrance throughout the night to fight off any of the demonic beasts that appear." They emerged in to a largish cave containing two long wooden tables and chairs on one end, and a cheerfully bustling kitchen on the other, exuding the aromas of meat stew and fresh bread.

There were already some other men and women seated at the tables chatting with their neighbors. Father Johnathan made the rounds, greeting everyone pleasantly. Finally taking a seat off to one side and indicating for Darryl to sit next to him.

Terril:
Looking up from her work, she smiled warmly at Father Jonathan as he walked in, and had soon made her way over to the two of them with some bowls of stew and a large chuck of bread. "Good evening Father." She greeted the priest, once he had finished saying grace. Turning to Darryl, she looked surprised to see him up and about, but made no mention of it, greeting him as well, "Good evening to you too Darryl, will you be staying with us then?"

Theo walked down the flight of stairs leading to the basement. He saw Teril, Father Johnathan, and Daryl talking. "Hey all, is theere anything I can do to help? Daryl good to see your feeling better."

Phobe

Feeling the night rise deep in her bones, Phobe's eyes flutter and she awakens. A little early but hunger calls for her. Moving from the table and to the door she pushes the furniture away and slowly open it ...

Peeking out the door and seeing only a glimmer of what's left of the sun she pushes it open and walks up the stairs.. through the door and out into the hall.
While walking down the hall she notices pictures and old items thrown about. as she stands at the door she looks out the small window to see dusk. opening the door and looking at the purple sky fade slowly into black.

SHe dances and plays as she walks through the trees and onto a road that leads to the small human village.. the smell is amazing.. sweat and long days at work.. life.

As she comes to the first row of houses she can see many different people.. women and men small children. Follinging her senses she is lead to a building with a cross atop it. Something about it seems forboding.. looking around she spots a young girl carrying a basket and a flashlight.

Watching from a distance she seems almost aluring.
A smile crosses my face and I look to see a small bent over tree made into a bench. Sitting I sing lightly to myself. entrancing and bewildering it fills the breeze and catches the attention of the girl. She notices me and stops to listen. Leting the song fill her head and she starts to move towards me.

Reading her like a book, her name is Mariatta she is the 3rd daughter of 5 children. She is nearly 17 and thinks my song is lovely.

Singing and talking, all the while she moves closer.

Standing slowly I start walking back towards the manson. Singing ... she follows and moving faster she walks along side me.

Darryl

When i reach the bottom of the stairs, i freeze, a new scent meeting my senses. i look around, realizing that something here isn't as it seems.
The girl is there, and the man, both of whom I'd seen earlier, or the night before...or...whenever.
THe scent seems to be coming from one of them, but I'm not sure which one, or why I can smell it.
I shrug it off, deciding not to worry about it. Then I sit and turn to the priest, who seems to be in charge of the entire she-bang, and wait for his lead.

Javen

humming, no...singing. Soft but pleasant, nearby. I follow the sound, newly awakened from my day's slumber in the caves, curious as to its source. It seems to be coming from the direction of the church.
When I get there, I sit in a tree and watch the woman as she sits, singing, then lures the young girl away.
It has been a while since I'd seen such an approach, but I was pleased at it.
Creative in its own way.
I thought momentarily, then opted to folow them and see where this would lead.
When i saw the mansion, I stopped and eyed it carefully. Interesting.
The woman, beautiful in her blue dress and bodice, has gained my appeal, though not my trust.
I wait in the trees as they near the gate, then announce, in a loud voice that is not quite a shout.
"So soon do yo feed? Without offering any of your catch to one of your own kind?"

Phobe

Slowing my song not to startle the young girl, Mariatta . I sing her to sit and rest her eyes.

Glancing around I see a man by the gate. Cocking my head to him I whisper ' I will gladly share her with you if i know who you are' my eyes watching his every move,' you seem different......' i stated.

'i've never caught one like me by singing' I thought aloud. 'Where are you from.' i asked.

singing again and motioning for the man to follow also.

My, so lovely, my so pure.
Follow and be cared for. Come and I will love.
Be silent, be quiet, and I will lead you there.
A kiss will keep you with us but your heart will never dare.

Watching the man wait for a moment, trying to decide.

I walk through the door and the young Mariatta follows..

Javen

I consider her invitation for a moment, my mind reaching back to the girl I'd seen the night before at the church, then decide that my curiosities with the human girl can wait. I follow her inside, wondering who she was and how long she'd been here.

Father Johnathan:
Looking up from his meal, he smiled welcomingly. "Ah, good to see you again Theo, I hope you had a pleasant day? Come, sit down and join us." He invited, indicating a nearby chair. "We could certainly use your help tonight, and yours as well," he added to Darryl, "If you feel well enough. If either of you is skilled with a gun, we can always use more people to stand guard at the entrance, I'm afraid I'm of little use in that regard." He said with a wry smile. "A constant watch has to be kept all night, so sleeping must be done in shifts of course." He added, before resuming eating.

Terril:
As the men talked, Terril went back to work in the kitchen and finished the washing up she had been doing, then quietly headed out of the common room to her bedroom. She had been tired all day, but now, lying in bed, she felt completely alert, her senses almost tingling. Tossing and turning if an effort to get comfortable, she felt an oppressive closeness in the surrounding walls.

Finally, unable to stand it anymore, she slipped her clothes back on and headed to the stairs. Greeting those on guard, she made a show of heading to the Father's office as if to retrieve something for the old man. Once the guards had turned away, ignoring her, she slipped into a side passage. She just needed a breath of fresh air, she told herself, that was all, and then she'd go right back in.

Phobe

Feeling my body lancid and relaxed. Moving slowly down the hall into a great vaulted room, the moon shining through the window above.

looking behind me and seeing the man watch my everymove. There is something different from myself. Pulling a long daybed from the wall and removing the white, dusty tarp from it, I sit down.

Motioning for the dear child to sit next to me, she moves quickly to please me. Holding her back to my chest, my arm wraped below her heaving breasts. My right hand tracing her neck moving her hair to one side. I can feel her excitement, as I push the material off her shoulder and down her arm. Her pale, milky white skin glimmering in the moonlight.

'would you like to taste her?' I asked of my guest. my fingers dancing down her neck and collarbone. Moving my hand to cup her left right breast pulling her closer..

Lowering my lips to her skin running my tounge over her bulging veins. The smell of her humanity so sweet. Untying the ribbon on the front of her dress and letting it fall open. revieling more of her . every inch of her so smooth and perfect.

My guest seems to watch and study my movements... watching from a couple of feet away.

Javen

I could feel my mind wandering, my breathing slowing but becoming deeper as the woman caressed the girl's breast through her dress and displayed her neck, the viens seeming to bulge.
The girl seemed almost in a trance, and at the same time, to be enjoying the erotic nature of what was happening, something of an odd occurrence given the dominance the woman was showing and the girl's young age.
I watched the two for a moment, waiting for the woman to bite.
Then i remembered the girl at the church, and how I'd wanted so badly to see her.
I blinked, came back to reality in seconds.
"Who are you?" I asked, my voice sounding plain in my own ears.

Phobe

staring at the man.. thinking how to best answer....

'I am Phobe, A true blood... you?' i whisper...

Plaing with Mariatta's hair I gentlly caress her. she seems to enjoy my touch. I motion for this man to come closer, to join me in my game.

Watching him he seems interested and seems to be enjoying himself too.

'have you never played with your meal?' i ask slyly

turning her body to mine. our breasts touching her soft skin against mine. I let her touch me, she seemed interested in the feel of my pale skin. Her hands touched my shoulders, my chest, her hand cupped my breast... I loved the feel of her fingers gliding over me.

I could see the man's arousal and intrest grow in his eyes.. but he seemed distracted.. Moving her hair again, I slowly let my teeth decend and kissed her neck softly... Letting my teeth slowly slide into her skin and my mouth filled with her hot pulsing blood.

Sweeter than any I had had in a long time.. slowly trickling not gushing or messy. It barely ran from the wound..

Mariatta lowered her mouth to my breast, letting her mouth cover it and suckle the nipple... I let a little moan escape as she made me feel.. My nipple grew hard and I knew I had to feed on her soon...

watching the man I let her play, while I licked the wound to catch the ruby droplets that had formed...

Teril:
Exiting through a small side door, she leaned back against the wall of the church and closed her eyes, breathing deeply of the cool night air, relaxing as darkness flowed over her. She didn't fight it this time, letting it embrace her thoughts.

The stillness of the night fell away like a mask, revealing a rich tapestry of sound: the rustling of leaves in the breeze, the faint rasping calls on insects, the sharp cry of some small creature and the soft whisper of the owls wings as it bore off its prey, and a hundred other little dramas that were being played out all around her. Opening her eyes, she realized she could see: the forest was no longer an indistinct wall of different shades of black, but individual trees and vines.

A chill crept up her spine as she looked around nervously, this was no mere illusion, no flight of imagination could turn dark into light! She pulled back from this unholy communion with the darkness, shut herself away inside her own mind, relieved to find the night once more reduced to beckoning whispers and half-seen shades. The sensation of being stifled, of being trapped in a cage that was too small, returned as well, but she vowed not to be weak again - something evil was fighting for her soul, she would not let it win.

Theo

I didn't want to guard tonight but I figured I was the most able bodied. On my way to the entrance I caugh a glimpse of Teril, heading out the side door. I decided to follow her, to see if she was alright, she didn't look like herself.

After waiting for a few seconds I made my presence known, "Teril are you ok? "

Teril:
She jumped at his voice, spinning around to confront him before even registering who it was. Seeing Theo's face, she breathed a sigh of relief. "Theo, you startled me! I,...I don't know. What does it look like out here to you?" She thought back to what she had seen during that brief period when night had been as day to her, "Do you see the deer grazing on the far end of the meadow, or is it all blackness to you?"

Theo gazed at the shadows that adorned the hills. "Not sure my sight hasn't adjusted to the dark yet. Could be a deer or it could be some kind of jungle cat." It was a buck, about 7 years old, it was feeding on some crab grass after coming back from the river side. He knew he could smell it from here but again, he didn't dare tell.

"It is a male deer, fully grown." She leaned against the church wall again, wrapping her arms around herself as though cold, though the night was warm. "And human eyes, even adjusted to the night, would see nothing but a sea of blackness in the meadow."

Teril:
"No, I am human,...I think I might be becoming something else though, but I don't know, perhaps I am just going mad...." This latter possibility was far less frightening than the first, going mad was something she accept, it was something humans did. Gazing up at him, she asked pointedly, "Were you always a were Theo?"

Theo was taken back a bit, "What do you mean? I'm just like you."

Javen

The girl was a toy to her, nothing else.
And young, but it explained nothing. That she was a Blood was not a surprise. They thought the world was their playground. Creatures such as this girl were not meant to suffer through long deaths, no matter how they were distracted from the nature of it.
"I am Javen," i replied, watching her carefully, though i disapproved. There was somethig tempting about this, something not quite forbidden.
"How long have you been here? Why do you hide out, away from the others?"

Darryl

I opted to sleep tonight, instead of taking watch. Tomorrow night, perhaps, I told the priest before settling in to rest. He seemed pleased, or perhaps he was just polite. It made sense either way. Why would he want two new arrivals, whom he didn't yet know he could trust, to guard together alone?
I was growing tired quickly, after eating, and the food at the table, though I'd had three servings, hadn't satiated my hunger even a tad. I dwelled on this as I lay there, awake. I knew what was happening by then, but whether or not I could control it...

Phobe

Playing with the girl a little and watching the man, Javen, I licked her and then drank deeply from her...

she gripped me and I watched her cheast rise and fall as I drank..
feeling for her pulse I stopjust as her heart starts to slow it's racing. Being careful, continuing to play with her.

'you don't seem to like my play. why?' 'as for this place, i am an outcast by choice...' i stated

'I got into some trouble with everyone, for hanging out with your kind and humans... ' I sigh..

sucking on Mariatta's neck only to leave a hicky, to cover the wound, I kiss her lips and let her sleep. I caress her skin and stand.

walking over to Javen, I look him over and smile.'will you walk with me?'
