I don't have any problem with the fluffy, flirty, indiscriminately sexual threads. I'm glad they're here for those who want to partake of them, glad they exist for the benefits many must derive from them. Like incest stories, however, they're not to my taste. Neither is nilla sex as an everyday meal. Neither is eastern Washington, for a whole host of reasons. Neither, for that matter, are yappy dogs in the cars i park next to in the grocery store parking lot.

What i dislike are unkind and close-minded people. There's just no need for that kinda stuff in general, and certainly no need here. If something doesn't appeal to you, don't read it. Don't respond to it. Pass it by. Freedom, baby; can't beat it.

Cath? I don't mean this as a condemnation of you. I know you're good hearted. I assume you meant what you said in the most positive manner. That it came out differently is a function of other people hearing you other than how you meant it. However, asking a newbie something like this is going to make that newbie uncomfy, at least a little, don't you think? Though i assign only positive motives to your original question, she doesn't know you well enough to do so - and to her, to others, perhaps you came off as more cirtical than you intended.

It's the personna of the av, that amuses me most, as I respond internally to posters' words. Many avs here communicate far more than the words of the poster. In daughter's case, I think that her av puts her thought provoking words into a stratosphere that some people find unnerving. Maybe she wants it that way, and maybe she doesn't. Her words alone seem to indicate a no-nonsense approach. But everyone's words sound that way at somepoint. Time will reveal her true heart; she cannot prevent that. I think that the more experienced people at Lit already know that.
