~Deacon's Fucked up Cancer Thread~

Four treatments to go. It was confirmed that Monday is my last day, and my kidneys are still at the same level as the day I started, so four more should be a breeze :D

Dehydration has become a bitch, but nothing I can't handle with some effort. No nausea or any of that, which I'm thankful for.

So I have a check up two weeks after the last does of radiation, and then the PET and CT scans two weeks after that. If all is well, I wait another thirty days and then they do the surgery.

Oh, and I just learned I'll have another grandson in October :nana:

I am so happy to hear that you're almost at the end of your treatment round. So glad you are doing as well as can be and that your kidneys haven't taken a major hit. Keep forcing the fluids my dear.

You're in my thoughts and prayers. :rose: Congrats on your news of a new addition to the family. Hope mommy and baby are well.

Get rest and stay strong. Be well my friend.

I'm so glad to hear everything is going so well.

I go in next week for my Markers and I'll leave with a Schedule.
Which lotion did you decide on? Do you like it?

They gave me a list of recommended ones. But curious which you used.

I went with the Miaderm lotion. No smell, no greasy feeling, and it works really well. It was designed by radiation experts (doctors), so I guess that helps. :)

Saw my chemo NP today, and all is well. Kidneys are still good, white blood cell count was 3.5 so still dropping but not fast enough to matter :) I'm fucking done on Monday :D

Monday! Holy moly! That's dancing nana worthy!
:nana::nana::nana::nana::nana:

In all seriousness, I'm happy you weathered the treatments so well. I continue to pray that you kick this thing's ass.

I'm so happy you got through this so well. Keep up the good work.
I've bought a few new nighties for when you're "UP TO IT"

Be well. ((Hugs)) and 's sent your way.

Last one! So excited for you. I know there's more to come, but this is a huge hurdle. Take today as a win, celebrate a little, then rest up. And know we're all celebrating with you because we love you bunches.

Thank you Beachbaby :)

Yep, today was the last one, and it was almost a tear jerker moment. Those people became friends right away, and it was sad to say goodbye. I'll be back at the cancer center in two weeks but I won't see them again :(

I guess this is the half way point in this entire thing, with surgery still two months out. CT and PET scans will tell the most in a couple weeks.

Thanks for all the support, you people truly are amazing!

When life brings us challenges, it's great to see someone turn them into accomplishments....enjoy the celebration and, as always, positive thoughts for the next steps.

Bittersweet to say goodbye, hoping you never see them again. Only for a visit when you are fully recovered.

It's been too long since I have checked in but I do hope that you are doing well and I hope your spirit continues to be yours. Sending you all the love and support and I am so proud of your fight. It's crazy how people who take care of you in such a sucky situation turn out to be a light in your day. I am glad that you have good people caring for you and supporting you and know you have an army of people fighting with you to make sure you stick around. ❤️❤️❤️

I'm very happy for you. Half of the job is done. Here is wishing you all the best for the rest of it. Everything will be okay.

So...after a few days off, no treatments, no long drives...how ya feeling, sweetie?
