I'm sitting at the airport. The first leg of my original flight is delayed so Continental kindly booted me over to a different airline. That means it looks like I booked my flight at the airport which triggered extra security measures (I got to go through the machine that poofs air at ya and lifts up one's skirt & top ). It also means the car rental counter is closed when my plane lands ... can you believe the car rental place actually suggested I hang out for 5+ hours AT the airport until the rental counter reopens???? *rofl* yeah like that is gonna happen.

This trip is not off to the best of starts ... hopefully it gets better. *shakes head* There is A LOT to be said for non-stop flights.

So here's an update ... we got into Vegas on time. Was *supposed* to have a hour layover (can you see what's coming?) ... flight delayed - BY 3 HOURS! So now ... instead of arriving in LA at 10:55pm on Friday - I am arriving in LA at 03:43am on SATURDAY ... and then I have to sit at the airport there for nearly 2 hours while I wait for the car rental place to reopen ...

So here is the lesson learned from this trip ... pay the exra $200 for a non-stop flight Tampa-LAX. That way, if the flight is delayed - it's still ok!

Oh and yes I loved the mini bj ... if only there'd been one spurt of air dead center - then I'd have been in heaven!

As to the customer service issue ... USAirways is providing midnight snacks and caffeine and pillows & blankets as we are the only flight still here. LOL

And so concludes this journal entry of 'the traveler'. Have a wonderful night and I hope y'all are dreaming sweet, erotic dreams!

Ok ... I *just* arrived at my final destination - my friend's house. We landed in CA at 03:45 and I hung out at the airport until 05:30 to get the car. Then I made EXCELLENT time getting to the house.

I'm here safe & sound - 19 hours door to door. For reference, normally this trip takes 9 hours door to door. *lmao out of sleep deprivation*
