Dear Detroit Lions,

you guys suck donkey balls tonight. You can't catch a ball...you can't hold on to it.....you just plain suck.

Signed,

a disgusted Lions fan.

Dear X (literally),

If rewriting history allows you to sleep better at nights, more power to ya. However, your son knows the truth and nothing you have said, can say or are saying will change that.

Idiot!

Signed,
Definitely made the right decision

Masochist...not abuse victim

Dear X,

I do love you. And I wasn't kidding when I told you that masochist does not equal abuse victim. I also wasn't kidding when I told you my submission only holds as long as I feel safe. Those boundaries are solid, and it doesn't matter how much you push them, they are not moving. Love comes complete with boundaries, and I will not feel guilty for enforcing mine.

Love,
Me

Dear Jackass,

You're an asshat. I can't believe at one time you were my favorite. One of the few relatives I have, who like me, doesn't necessarily "fit the mold" of our giant dysfunctional family. Apparently your ego has become your new best friend and that "fire inside you" just torched what was left of our family. Have a good life and remember to double check before you send out mass communication talking trash about someone I love.

Your ex family member

Dear Parents...

I appreciate you more than you know, but what I do *NOT* like is when you talk to me in a condescending manner.

I'm tired of the pessimistic tone in which you talk to me about the job market.

If I wished to be mediocre I would have already applied at the businesses you've mentioned. I want more for myself, and there is NOTHING wrong w/ wanting to aim for a job that I can stay at long term.

I heard enough negative criticism from the jackass I divorced, and I don't need to hear it from you two.

I'm tired of thinking that I owe you an explanation. I'm tired of being compared to my siblings...I'm not them. I have my own unique strengths and capabilities. I have my own weaknesses. I have a desire to succeed and for once I would like you to stand behind me and support my decisions.

I may not always make the choices you would make, but I would appreciate your consideration that I'm making these choices to better myself.

Your daughter.

Dear sister...

Don't you have enough going on in your life w/o meddling in my life? You're a divorced mother and you work full time, you have kids that depend on you. I'm sure those two factors alone would be conclusive proof that you need to butt out of my life.

I hate that you treat me like I'm a lesser person. You have NOT had the same life experiences that I have had. You're a strong person in your own ways, but you can NOT tell me that you know what I'm going through b/c you do NOT - you are NOT me.

I don't need your snarky bitchy passive aggressive comments so just focus on your life instead of mine.

Your sister

Dear Hurricane Sandy,

Look bitch, I get it, the male storms seemed
like such bad asses that you feel you have
to be that much more aggressive and shit.
Really, I do understand. Glass ceiling, a woman
is just as good as a man thing. But honey I'm
freezing my ass off in a part of the country
that is usually warm. So stop your bitchin'
and moaning like a twisted PMS hormonal
thing and go find some where else to destroy.

Thanks,

Cold in Hotlanta

Dear Mozilla Corporation,

You're on my last nerve. First you couldn't be bothered to listen to what the people who use your product wanted and forced upon them the very un-Awesome bar. Then you went and changed the appearance so drastically that entirely new manuals has to be written so people could figure out how to get things back to the way they were. What the hell is providing a checkbox to turn off submitting crash reports if the box ALWAYS stays checked?

As if that wasn't bad enough, you went to the ridiculous seemingly bi-weekly upgrade cycle which has the entirely too often habit of breaking add-ons. What the hell do you need to do a 6MB patch if all you're doing is patching security holes (like you did with your last release which was immediately pulled because of, wait for it, a security hole!)? Updates to the Windows operating system aren't even that large.

Now you have seen fit to force a new tab to open every fucking time someone opens their browser and tell them that their browser isn't the latest and greatest, that you've disabled software on that person's system which you consider out of date and, as far as I know, prevent people from disabling this message.

Here's the deal. It's my system. I'll do what I want, when I want, with it. I don't give a flying fuck about whatever security holes you think exist in your product or how I'm supposedly missing out on the latest vapid eye candy while surfing about. You do what you want with your system, I'll do what I want with mine. It's not up to you to decide what I need to do.

Either I will find a way to disable your notification or I will remove your browser and will go on a social media frenzy to get people to do the same.

For all the talk about the freedom to choose, it's funny how you limit what people can do on their own system.

Sincerely pissed with Firefox and the shitty programmers who don't have a clue

Dear Stupid Furniture Store,

Your customer service is a joke!! I spent a HUGE amount of money in your store (and paid cash!) and you delivered broken furniture after a month of waiting for delivery...and now you aren't bending over backwards to replace it?? That makes a lot of sense!

Because of you my 8 year old son is sleeping on his mattress on the floor and you apparently don't care at all. His birthday party is this weekend, and I will have to put his friend on the floor too...so that's nice!

Know that I will NEVER EVER EVER step foot in your store again and will tell anyone who will listen what a horrible experience I had with your company.

Just come get every last piece of furniture that I bought and give me my money back...

Signed,

Pissed off and fed up!

Dear food court social clumpers,

The whole food court is empty aside from me and two other people.

If I wanted to sit next to you (or any other random) or share a table with you I certainly would have.

I just wanted to eat my muffin in peace and read the news. Now I'm forced to engage with you because I'm just too fucking nice.

Yours,
Polite but pissed

You must be too attractive to stick to social graces. Sorry for your lack of serenity.

Amen Sister. I needed a new laptop. Shopped a day too long. Wound up getting a Windows 8 after a LOT of hemming and hawing. The first day? I've used every version of Windows since ver 3.1. Even the switch to Win95 was easier than this! I spent 45 minutes my first day staring at it and trying to figure out WTF? I went back to my old laptop with the failing monitor to get some work done. On day two? I played around a bit more, figured out a few things and went back to the old laptop with the failing monitor. Day three? I had fun with my very computer literate family asking them to do simple things like, "Show me the desktop" and "Hey, start a program for me" and "You're right, it's a mess. Care to shut it down for me?" I mean, seriously, Microsoft... NONE OF THOSE SIMPLE TASKS ARE INTUITIVE!!!!

And anyone who gets a computer off the shelf like I did... be prepare for a new meaning to the word "Crapware." Toshiba has so many BULLSHIT apps preloaded, I don't know if this will ever feel like MY machine! I can't imagine what it will be like for anyone who buys a Dell, HP, or Gateway!

PISSED in Missouri!

Dear daughter of mine,

Yes, you are absolutely right. I hate you. All because I am making you get up this morning. *gasp* How dare I?! I'm the meanest mom ever. AND how dare I make sure you have all of your swimming stuff to take with you this morning, and make sure you have everything in your bag for school. That makes me doubly mean.

By the way, I do love you! But don't tell yourself that while you're trying to be all dramatic and stuff.

P.S. please go change your shirt. You may NOT wear the same one as you did yesterday.

hmm... may need to rethink the idea of getting a new laptop. not sure if Win 8 is worth the trouble or should i stick with what i got.

The crapware that comes with new computers feels more intrusive with an unfamiliar interface and the addition of apps. (Or, as Microsoft prefers to called them, "Windows 8 Store apps" - Metro Apps Renamed Windows Store Apps/.) I'm of two minds about the whole Windows 8 thing. I get it - MS wants to streamline the user's experience across multiple devices. For that, I applaud them. And whether we like Windows 8 or not, it's clearly MS new approach. I remember similar cries when MS changed from Win 3.1 to Win 95. There was confusion about how to do simple tasks. So my second mind is: get used to it.

If you NEED a new computer, then jump. General wisdom is to avoid adopting a new operating system in its first 3-6 months while the developer has a chance to work out the bugs and vendors have a chance to write new drivers. I've had a program or two that I haven't been able to install, like Paintshop Pro ver X3. I don't know...

I'm lost, confused and still pissed about the whole thing.

If you have a flashdrive try doing a manual drop (copy it from you old computer to the flashdrive then copy it from the flashdrive to your new computer) and then right click on the program and select troubleshoot compatibility...That should get you up and running, if not, sorry, no other suggestions...I haven't used Windows 8 yet, but that was a feature they added on their last upgrade that has been a lifesaver to me for my programs that weren't working on my new system...
