Dearly Beloved...

"Just a few minutes, we're almost there," replied Brad.

Oh, Kevin? Rick thought. I'm sure she'd love to talk to that surfer dude. Maybe that's her type. Who cares? She's obviously not talking to me.

"Sorry about my earlier comment, Holly. I hope your dress is clean."

Was that me? Did those words come out of my mouth, considering how nasty she's been to me? What was wrong with me?

I nod slightly at Rick's apologly. "Its okay Rick. I am sorry for spilling wine on myself in the first place. And yes it is clean." I turn my attention to what is going back on in the car. I look at Jen and Brad and shake my head before looking at Rick. "Are you going to go back to the two bit... women?"

"Going back to...? Oh, no, far too much for me to do at the reception. That's one of the reasons why I came stag, not enough time would get spent with my date. Besides, they're not that attractive to me. I like a woman with more smarts and stuff..."
I was glad she was being nice again. Didn't know how that would last. Jen's hand was moving furiously inside Brad's pants, and he was flushed. They had tried to cover it up, but we both knew what was going on. If only Holly...nah...stop thinking like that.

I shake my own head and move closer to Rick. Thinking I might have had to much wine. I lay my head on his shoulder and giggle. "They were attractive and you know it. I didn't see you complainging when they were all over you."

I move so both of my legs are up on the seat, and I am kinda leaning into him. I look up at his face and smile.

Rick

"I was just being nice," I said softly into her ear. I decided that it was time to make a move, see what happened. "Now, if it was you on my arm, I'd really have an attractive date, a gorgeous one, actually."
I let that one sink in, smiling softly.

I smile at him then look over at Jen and Brad. "And if I was on your arm I would have a lhndsom and wonderful man." Ack where did that come from. Well to late to take that back. I wonder if Rick is watching what those two are doing.

"lhndsom? You think I'm lhndsom? Why are we always at each other's throats, then, Holly? I like your spunk and energy, but it gets a little confusing sometimes."
I put my hand on her shoulder, allowing her to get closer.
"Do you think Jen figures we're not paying attention?" I said softly. "I think Brad's pretty close." Indeed, Brad was fully flushed and squirming, Jen's arm almost a blur.

OOC: I just had to make fun of your typo.

OOC: ACK! I didn't even see that. Poor me and you are a meanie ;P

IC: "I do not know why we are always at each others throats. Maybe we should be nicer," I speak low. I smile as his hand rests on my shoulder as I snuggle into him more.

I watch as Jen jacks Brad off inside the limo. "Maybe Jen is giving us a show?! I don't thnk Brad even cares anymore." I watch as Brad squirms and I giggle.

Rick

"It's not like I did something to hurt you in a previous life, so I'm glad we got that settled. As for Brad...well. sounds like he's about to blow." I chuckled as Brad's breathing became raspy and he groaned deep in his throat, his eyes bulging out of his head. He was holding his breath to keep quiet and it was working. Deftly, Jen reached over with a cloth (who knows where she got that?) and seemed to be cleaning the mess up.

Keeps quiet about Rick breaking her heart. She holds in a laugh as sh wachs Jen clean up the mess. "Someone had a little too much fun I see." I grin up at Rick. He is looking down at me with a weird look in his eyes. "Rick are you okay?"

"Fine, that's just very funny, and it seems to have affected me more than I thought."
The limo rolled to a stop, and we started to get out, Brad a little wobbly. I said softly to Jen that she had a little white patch on her hand, which she quickly licked up.
I laughed and held Holly's hand as went entered the hall to get in the receiving line.

I smirk as I see Rick whisper to Jen and then she lick her hand. I was going to tell her that she had somethng on it. I look down in amazement of me and Rick'shands together. I squeeze it gently and look for our friends on the recieving line.

It feels magical holding her hand, and we stand in the receiving line for a while very close together. I decide to make my second move during a lull in the crowd.
"Hey, want to see if we can find somewhere secluded? I want to talk to you some more..."

I think about this. I nod slowly. Rick leads me to where he was talking about. I wonder where we are going, and what he wants to talk about...

Rick

When we rented the hall, I noticed a room upstairs with a couch and not much else. I led her in and sat down beside her. I kissed her hand.
"You know I'm attracted to you, right? I think I have for a long time. You seem very familiar, like I've known you for a while."

OOC:... Gina may have gone with him. Should we get together?...I read some of your stories, they're very good.

I gasp. He has liked me!? "You... you have liked me for awhile?!"

I lean back on the couch and think about this. Oh my god. Could it be true!?

OOC: Sure thing, I'll can either finish taking the recently disappeared Will to the party and hook up with you as another character there, or you can step up to bat as Will, entirely up to you.

And thanks :) Always nice to hear a compliment first thing in the morning

OOC:
On the off chance of Will returning, let's meet at the party.

Rick

"Well, yes, I guess I haven't realized it until lately because of how caustic we are to each other. But I certainly have been attracted to you for a while, Holly."
It was out. Just about everything. I was still holding back, not daring to ask...

Cathy

Cathy and Will arrived a little later than the rest of the wedding party. They both look disheveled and rumpled, and he was brushing bits of grass off of his tuxedo as he walked around to open Cathy's door for her. She was a little flushed, roses riding high on her cheeks, and her eyes were sparkling. She took Will's hand and he helped her out of the car, brushing his lips against hers. He murmered against her ear and she flushed a little brighter and smiled.

He took her elbow and led her into the reception hall. She said her hello's to this one and that one, and then excused herself. She wanted to get cleaned up, and headed for the ladies room.

Jack saw the striking young woman heading towards the Ladies Room and intercepted her.

"Excuse me, but I seem to have lost my date."
She looked him over with an apreciative eye.
"I'm Jack Beck. I brought Gina here from the Church but she seems to have disappeared. I thought she might be...ahhh."
He glanced over his shoulder at the door.
"In there.
Wondered if you'd mind checking."

She said she'd be happy to and went in.

What a gorgeous babe!
He wasn't sure if he cared whether he found Gina or not.

Cathy

Cathy was cut short on her way to the ladies room. She couldn't help but look the man who called himself Jack Beck up and down. He was gorgeous.

"I'd be happy to check for Gina," she replied to his question.

She walked into the ladies, almost holding her breath and hoping madly that Gina wasn't in here. Cathy took a quick peek underneath all of the stall doors and didn't see anyone at all in here. She washed her face again, powdered her nose, and applied a fresh coat of lip gloss. She thought about talking to Jack again, and a small flurry of butterflies danced in her stomach. What was wrong with her? She had a perfectly good boyfriend who was just as handsome as Jack was. Cathy decided that she was acting like some love sick school girl and straightened her spine with resolve. She would just deliver the news to Jack and then go and find Will again. Mr. Beck could fend for himself.

She pulled the door open and walked out, smiling when he caught her eye. "I'm sorry, Mr. Beck, but she's not in there. Maybe she's with Holly, or one of the other ladies. I'm sure you'll find her, good luck."

She turned to walk away.

Jack reached out and put a hand on her shoulder. He was not one to let an opportunity slip by.

She turned and he cranked up the charm a notch.

"Look I'll be honest. I don't know a damn soul here. In fact I just met Gina a few hours ago.
I was visiting my cousin and was on my way back to my squadron when his wife asked if I'd drop her off at this wedding. And I don't even know where she is."

Suddenly Cathy seemed very interested. In a few moments he'd told her he was a Navy Pilot due back on the carrier in 48 hours. He had also figured out that she was a very hot girl with date who seemed to care less.

"How about a drink?" He smiled.

They walked towards the bar with their arms around each others waist.
Things looked promising.
