Deathlance of the Rising Sun

Caramon

Caramon gives a wry smile to the dwarf. "Ay, you are right at that Flint. I think it is time to get some more food. We are staying at the Boar's Head Inn. You can meet up with us there, if you need to find us. Come you lot, since it was the dwarf's idea, he is paying. " Caramon strode back towards the inn with long strides.

Kalison

The dwarf followed, all the time mumbling about some Kender, and a pouch. Leaving Kalison alone for the moment. Pocketing the amulet he watched them depart. If there partnership fell through he could always use it himself. He felt a stir in the tower, perhaps someone had returned. The appearance of Caramon had seemed fortunate, but maybe there was more to it. Moving back out of sight form the tower he kept watch, and waited.

Rand

Rand longed to get a better look at that amulet, but he agreed that they needed to go. Rand followed the others back to the inn. He looked back at Kalison one last time and saw something that disturbed him. With the sun behind him, his shadow did not look human, it looked very different. Rand could not put his finger on what it was, but pondered the mystery as he followed the others.

Elly followed her new companions back to the in her mind on the new comer. There was something different about him, she couldn't place her finger on it but it was there nonetheless. She glanced his way her eyes widening when she saw his shadow. The sun must be playing tricks she decided. She turned back towards the inn pushing all her migivings behind her. It was probably nothing.

Kalison watched as they passed from sight. Unable to wait any longer he gripped the amulet and spoke the words. There was a faint glow and the magic took hold. The power should repel even the strongest spells. Entering the forest the guardians broke the surface of the ground but were unable to penetrate the shield. With out hindrance, Kalison made the door quickly. Simple spell would not open the oaken door, as it was surely trapped. Stepping to the side Kalison hand moved the wall flash and opened creating a new door. Stepping through he was confronted by other spectral minions. Ignoring them he bounded up the stairs. Before long he stood at the threshold to Raistlin study. The amulets power was failing, time was running out. Once it stopped protecting him the guardians would rip him apart. Desperately his pushed at the door and it swung open without resistance, magical or other. Stepping in and closing the door behind him, he scanned the room. He spied what he had been told the look for. In the corner of the room stood a curtained of area, walking quickly over he threw back the curtains.
" It is no longer here" A voice whispered from behind him
Turning Kalison found the master of the tower standing in the shadows.
Hissing Kalison backed up in to corner.
" I have move it for the time being, till I have dealt with other matters. " without warning lighting flew from the mage's hand dissolving as it touched the protective barrier. The power of the amulet was spent, that last bolt had used up almost all of it reserves.
" I will be back. " throwing himself at the window, the man kalison begain to change. By the time Rasitlin came to watch from the window, He saw a Black Dragon makeing hard for the south. Two Gold visiting the knight outpost within the city. Lifted up in to air in pursuit.
Kalison saw them and increased his speed and knew he would out run them with ease.

Flint still fighting the affect of the forest strode behind Caramon. Occasionally he rub at is chest and moved his arm as if stiff. Caramon turned to say something and it took awhile for flint to relise he was lying down looking up at him. Other faces crowded his vision there was no feeling in his left side. Caramon was speaking but he could not make out all the words.
" Ge...... Cleric...... The Temple........."
Blackness cloulded over his eyes. He felt himself lifted and being moved. Darkness overcame him.

TANIS

Tanis looked at Dalamar in shock. "He what!?!?!" Standing up quickly he grab's Dalamar by his coller. "You know where he is dont you. We must stop him Dalamar, you know it as well as I !!" Coughing slightly, Dalamr glare's at Tanis. "Release me Half Elf or suffer." Sighing deeply Tanis releases Dalamar's coller, "Fine, now where is he? Where is Raistlin?!? " "Calm your self half elf, he has not yet left on his journey but he will shortly. We must not allow him to return from it or all life as we know it will end. Set Half Elf, let me explain." Setting himself Tanis stared at Dalamar.

" Wine?" Dalamar asked. "No dammit, now explain what you mean!" "Please Tanis, calm your self. You must keep a clear head for what I am about to tell you. Par-Salin casted a spell, a futer sight spell as it were. What he say scared him so greatly that he was found several days later, passed out on his study's fllor. He saw the end Tanis. The would had been destroyed. Raislit was a god, true but he ruled over nothing. His battle's with the other god's had destroyed every thing in his path. Even now he is prepairing to travel to anouther time to learn what he must to kill the god's." "Well then where is he, I swear I'll kill him before he even has a chance to leave." "Ahh but that is the problem Half Elf. If he is stopped now then our world as we know it will cease to exist. We MUST allow him to make his journey for that has already happened. But he mist not return Tanis. Do you understand Tanis? " "Yes, of course but where is he going?" "He is going back Tanis, back to when you stopped the Dark Qween, back to kill you."

Tanis stared at Dalamar in shock. "But..how...why!!" "He must face her here in the material plane where she is weaker. To face her in her own plane would be his death. As to why, do you not already know that reason?" Frowning Tanis looked at Dalamar,"Power...." Yes Half Elf, for power. There is only one way for you to stop him though, he must be slain by one pure at heart. He has grown far to powerful to be stopped any other way. Do you know such a person Tanis?" "Of course, Sturm could.." Dalamar shook his head," No Sturm can not, he has his own demons. There is one that you do know though that can, One that has a tendency to 'find' thing." "You dont mean...no surely not..." Looking at Dalamar's face he realized that it was him that could stop it..." Tas......."

STURM

Sturm ran for the tower as quickly as his leg's could carry him. Behind him he felt the icy coldness of the grove biting into his flesh. As he neared the door, it opened with Dalamar and Tanis walking out. "Ahh there you are sir knight. So good of you to join us." Sturm looked at Tanis, seeing his face full of sorrow he ask's," Tanis what is going on here? What is wrong." "Sturm my old friend, we must find Tas. After that I will explain what must be done." "Tas? Tas is here in..." sighing deeply Sturm looked at Dalamar.

" I am not sure why you wish for us to find Tas, but I swera by the Oath and the Measure that if any harm come's to him..." "You will do nothing sir knight. Now you must leave. I must report back to the Conclave." "What your not...." Just then a huge flash of light blind's Sturm. When he is finally able to see again he realizes they are back at the Librery. "Tanis what.." "Not now Sturm. We must find the other's quickly. Time is short and the world hang's in the balance....."

Caramon

Caramon looks down at the dwarf. His reflexes had not been enough to keep the dwarf from landing hard on the forest at the edge of the cobblestones. Caramon tried to make out what the dwarf was saying , but was not able to. He looked at Rand in consternation. "Rand, do something. You are a mage make him better, I am afraid for him. Elly, can you help him? I dont know what to do for this. My strong swordarm has been enough in my many battles, but it is ought versus the battle with death . "

Rand

Rand looked over at the hulking warrior with concern. "Here, let me see what I can do. "He put his hand to the dwarves forehead. "This is not good , I need to move him immediately. Here, take this stone. When it glows , follow the glow to my villa. I must get him there fast, and I dont dare waste my strength taking us all. " So saying, Rand pulled a few herbs from his pouch, called out a few words and a rip appeared in the air in front of him. Rand picked up Flint with gentle concern and dissappeared into the air.

Rand stepped out of the teleportion portal , and landed in his lab. He laid Flint down on the table and called for his assistant. The gigantic bugbear listened to his masters instructions and with a dubious expression, placed his hands on the dwarf. Rand quickly selected one of his many jars of herbs on the shelf. With a flourish of his hands, Rand quickly poured the contents down the dwarf's throat. The dwarf's body convulsed in a spasm of agony as his body tried to throw off the effects of the spell cast on him. Sweat poured off the Bugbears brow as he struggled to hold down the diminutive dwarf. Rand looked with concern at Flint, he should have been awakened by now. It looks like the mage that cast this spell was very powerful. Rand made sure that Flint was resting comfortably before going up to the first floor to wait for the others to arrive.
