They always have an overly vague plan that usually is incredibly "simple" and involves "steps." The first step is always do the exact opposite of what GWB is currently doing.

I'd venture to say there isn't a difference, these days.

I think the middle class gets screwed either way. The difference is, the Democrats define the upper income limit of the middle class significantly lower than the Republicans. As far as past (Clintonian) history is concerned.

I think this would be a good question for these Democrats that want to "roll back" the income tax cuts so that the "wealthy" pay their "fair share." "Tell me, ex-(marginally) Senator Edwards, where do YOU define the income line between middle-class and wealthy?"

We should have asked that question of Clinton back in 1992.
