So we sent the call over the loud speaker for all medics. Glad to see our Aussie friends showed too. We've been doing joint patrols with them. Helps relieve the boredom. All I wanted to eat when I got off that plane was ribs. Did eventually get some.

There's terrific gyros on Habersham St. Had them a few times. (Secretly, I think they're more like Donner Kebabs. More middle eastern than Greek. )

The burgers at 5 guys were pretty good. I like it when you can see them being prepared.

Go home tomorrow.......

We have good donairs and gyros here. Lot's of Greeks in Canada.

Here Donaira and Gyros have the strips. Donairs tend to be bigger, more meat, ettuce tomato tzaki sauce maybe cheese.

With the influx of Bagali and indian workers we have been eating a lot of Curry and Bin-something, rice and lamb. Not bad, but I do miss a good Gyro. So if the Donner dudes adn Gyro Guys use the same stuff what is teh real difference then? A turk and a Greek? that's about it as far as I can tell.

Yes, Miss Triske we can move to the Hot tub. Hard hot jets on the hips and lower back for this old Scout. Plenty of THE Glenlivet too if you please. And two of the hottest women left at the oasis to warm up the water too!!

We have no decent ethnic restaurants/eateries in my town at all. I do have a young Pakistani friend and some Indian friends that are teaching me how to use their spices properly. Their food is simply fantastic. My Indian friend is vegetarian but it is to die for.

From what I can tell from Canberra and Sydney eating is that the sauces are different between gyros and Donner kebabs and the spices in the meat are too. DB points out that the gyros is 'wetter' which I would agree with.

Best Greek I ever had was in a Sydney restaurant. The entrée was finely crumbed and seasoned fresh anchovies that were lightly grilled. OMG! Would kill for them. Restaurant had changed hands when I went back.

My fave dish is Thai bbq chicken. Real homecooked stuff by a Thai that doesn't hold back.

Now I'm craving thai food. Damn.

We eat a lot of lamb here, too. Especially in spring. Didn't see much of it in Ga. We don't lean to turkey as much as you guys do though. Just at Christmas, so it's appearing now. I remember when I was a kid my mother cooked this roast turkey that was soooo good. It was covered by a mudpack of spices.

It was from an international cookbook and on the opposite page was how to dress and cook a monkey! The Mighty Mo couldn't cope and had to cover that page with a teatowel.

Lots of scotch tonight. Day back at work was a shitfight and I found out my boss has resigned. buggar it! So am searching for a new one. I love this one but I get paid just less than full time and work twice the hours. And this boss acts as a filter. Looking at possibilities tomorrow. Wish me luck!
