Diablo 2(for the uninitiated, there will be, once again, guidelines)

Countess:

"Oh, noble and FOOLISH Paladin!" The countess shrieked as she blindly rushed into the cell, not expecting what she was to find. "For your folly you will DIE!" She suddenly stopped and eyed the gathering party before her, barred her teeth and hissed at them. "How dare you profain my tower with your filthy presence! You all, ALL will die just like the Paladin!" She continued to shriek, her rage just growing stronger at these unexpected intrusions. She lifted her hands and lightning crackled from her fingertips, begging to be released upon them.

Thorr

The barbarian had gathered a number of potions from the various corpses lying around the castle. Part of his training from an early age had been in the identification of the more common forms of potions brewed by the shamen of his tribe. Checking through the bottles and flasks, he found a few he was certain contained healing draughts, and he drank some. There were, however, many he did not recognize.
Morgoth and his brother had left him to heal himself, while they went up the last staircase. Feeling much better, Thorr made his way after them. When he arrived, however, he saw that the Countess was just ahead of him.

Some miracle actually gave the thick-witted barbarian an idea. Nearby, he saw a large metal urn. Moving with incredible stealth for one so large, Thorr walked over to the urn, and dumped every one of the unidentified potions into it. He then picked up the steaming, bubbling urn and ran at top speed to where the Countess was preparing to slay his companions.

"Die, shmie. Here, yer Cuntessness, catch!"
And he hurled the contents of the smoking urn directly at her.

Victory

When the Countess turned to hurl her lightnings at the flying urn, Ralcair took his chance. Conjurering up his poison dagger spell , he touched his now green glowing weapon to the ground. Immidietlly, the magical poison ignited the bubbling and hissing liquids on the ground. Magical flames and plain old fire consumed the Countess in the blink of an eye. Ralcair looked on in horrer as the Countess started to age in the flames that were boiling her blood. A thousand generations of maiden blood spilled onto the gound, evaporating in a small cloud. The Countess screamed, her features that of a thousand year old mummy. Her forsaken ashes fell to the floor.....

OOC: I have never played Diablo but it looks interesting. Any room for another Sorceress?

Thorr / Countess

Thorr's eyes widened in amazement as the mix of potions splashed harmlessly off the Countess'es magical shield. "Hey! Nekkie, Jr.! Do something already!"

"Alas," spoke the Countess in a dark, sultry voice, dripping with scorn, "he is quite unable to hear you." She laughs, and turns fully to Thorr. "I have placed an interesting enchantment on the young necromancer. His mind is trapped in an illusion of surpassing subtlety. As far as he knows, everything is going wonderfully for him. I imagine that, in his private dream-world, I have been defeated, the maidens rescued, whatever happy fantasy his subconscious mind can dream up. I can hardly wait to see his face when I waken him!"

Behind her, Thorr could see something very strange. The mixture of potions which had missed her had splashed mostly on his friend, Alic, who was undergoing a strange transformation. The mixing of the potions had accidently created some sort of transfiguration effect! Alic was growing right before Thorr's dazed eyes, becoming scaly... in fact, Alic was becoming some sort of a dragon! His bonds burst under the strain of Alic's newfound strength.

The Countess stopped in mid-cackle, hearing a strange sound behind her. She whirled in time to see the end result of the change in her captive. "What have you done, you great, blundering oaf of a barbarian! What have you done?!!"

OOC

Isolde! Please do join in! I don't think that anyone would mind at all. I certainly wouldn't! ;)

OOC: The more the marrier as it seems we have lost a couple people. *Looking around for them.*
Hullo? You guys about here? Morgoth? Angelius? MoneyTalks??? Come on guys!!!

OOC: I dont know about any of the others but I have heard about Angelius (I am in several threads with him) Seems he is having trouble getting into Lit and will post as soon as he can get here.

Orenda

OOC: Hope this is okay for a beginning. If you guys have any suggestions on how to improve it let me know.

IC: Orenda waded through the field of undead, avoiding the majority of the gore and casting a small spell when neccessary if she found an undead that had not been completly taken care of. She was a bit puzzled about who could have waded through this nightmare of an army but right now that was not her top concern.

She had come because there had been reports of one of thier own being captured by the abomination that lived in the castle ahead and she had been sent to confirm that report. The Countess' reputation was well known and they could not afford for her to get ahold of more power-especially that of a virgin sorceress. The purity of that kind of power would make the Countess much more formidable than she already was.

She had been instructed to wait and watch and report-nothing more. But when she had gotten here, she had found that someone had preceded her and had made a path through the Countess' forces. She had allowed curiosity to get the best of her and now she made her way into the castle to see what it was that she had missed.

Hearing a commotion at the top of a set of stairs leading to the tower, she cautiously advanced up them and peered into the open door. Her eyes widened at the sight that met her eyes and she backed up into the shadows to let the scene play out more before she interfered.

OOC: Oh good, you joined, Isolde. I was worried that somebody mighjt of said no. Welcome aboard! Necro, I have aslo played Warcraft 2 and Starcraft, although I do not own either anymore. Don't change this Neale, please. We need to kill her sometime. We can extend Andariel, though.

IC: Morgoth re-cast his bone armor, and summoned a bone wall. The massive pinnacles ripped throgh the ground, and stopped right in front of the Countess. He began to shoot bone spears, the Talons of Trag'Oul cutting into the unsuspecting Countess. He ran around the bone wall, and stuck Loath Wrack into her writhing body. Thorr took the opprtunity and stabbed his weapon deep into her. Alic, who was for some reason a dragon, ripped into her as well. Morgoth raised the poleaxe up, and cut her in 2. Both enchantments wore off instantly. Alic plopped onto the ground as a human, and Ralcair stopped his dreaming. Only then did Morgoth notice the Sorceress.

Orenda

Watching the death of the Countess, I nod in satisfaction. Then she realized that the one who killed her was a necromancer and suspicion ran rampant. Turning quickly, she raced down the stairs in haste to find her sister sorceress as was her duty. If the necromancer thought to bring the Countess alive and under his control than she was not sure what would happen and she was not about to stick around to find out.

OCC: Hey people, sorry I tried to end the countesses life but, hell, she was a b**ch anyway. By the way, My character does not know about sorceresses...

IC: An intruder! Ralcair drew his dagger and charged after the fleeing woman. Conjurering up a bone spear, he sent it flying into the ground directly ahead of the running witch. Looming over her, he said in an icy tone," Your life ends now, witch...". He raised his dagger...

Orenda

OOC: Works for me. My char doesnt know you are here to save her sister sorceress. So let the fun begin! LOL

IC: I stumbled against the spike in the floor and found myself on my back on the floor. "Idiot!," I berated myself,"Use your magic!"

Gathering my magic about me, I used the spell of teleport to move out of the way just as his dagger came down and bit into the stone floor. Appearing behind him, I took but a moment to gather my magic again in the form of a lightening ball.

Lifting my hand, I called to him. "You shall find that I am not as easy to subdue as my sister as I have many more years training." With that I threw the ball of lightening directly toward him...

OCC: Ilike your style :)

IC: Sensing the growing power behind him, Ralcair cast bone armour and dove for safety. The explosion of lightning told him he was a lucky Necromancer. Summoning a bone wall, he placed it behind the witch to cut off her escape and then he launched 3 bone spears, one after the other. Diving in after the last spear, he came up with green glowing dagger ready. Lunging in, he slashed at the witch, right towards her pretty little throat. Time froze while his dagger was slashing....

Orenda

OOC: Thank you very much. You have quite a style yourself, necromancer!

IC: I growled as the bone wall came up behind me. I saw the daggers coming my way and used telekenisis to turn them away from me and smash into the bone wall behind me. It was close though. The necromancer was definately keeping me on my toes and I was not wanting to find out who the stronger of us was.

Seeing him come for me with a dagger, I again used telekinesis to freeze him into place. I knew it would not last long though and almost immediately used a spell to form ice on the bone wall. I watched impatiently as the wall froze. I was feeling the drain on my energy and I needed to get out and find my sister sorceress before I couldnt cast any more.

When the wall froze, I threw a lightening spell at it and it shattered. Just as the noise of shattering bone filled the air, the telekenisis wore off the necromancer and he finished his slash with his dagger though I was no longer there.

Not wasting any more time, I high tailed it out of there and toward the dungeon stairs not looking back to see if he followed.

Cutting to the Chase

Ralcair was very frustrated! That damn witch had froze him in place and escaped! Summoning up 2 skeleton warriors and a skeleton mage, he thundered in the direction the witch had gone.

After a little while, Ralcair realized he was lost and the damn witch was nowhere to be found! Choosing at random, he entered a door to the right. The groan of humans in pain was all around him now. Lighting a burning flame of black fire in his hand, he looked around. He was in the dungeon with the virgin prisoners! Before he couldlook around though, he heard the light foot steps of a woman. The witch! Hiding in a corner, he silently channeled enough energy to form a bone prison.

The witch entered. "------( sister sourceress's name), are you there?", the witch called. Not waiting for a reply, Ralcair stood and said," I am the only one here witch and death is going to be your eternal reward". With that said, Ralcair sprung the prison and launched a bone spear.....

Thorr [and only Thorr :)

Thorr shook his head to clear his vision. He was one seriously confused barbarian. Preparing to meet his ancestors, he ignored the Countess and charged the dragon that must have eaten his friend Alic. As he swung Giant-Cleaver, however, the dragon suddenly shrank, and became Alic once more.

"Alic? Where did dragon go?" Hearing spells being hurriedly spoken behind his back, he spun about in time to see the messy end of the Countess. "Alright, Nekkie, Sr.! Now we rescue virgins, right? Hunh? Who's that?"

He watched in rapt fascination as the most beautiful woman he had ever seen appeared in the room, threw some spells, and left. Too stunned to move or speak, he merely watched as Morgoth and the new sorceress battled. "Wow. She pretty. Wonder if she's a virgin who needs a rescue?"

He continued to watch as she made her escape through the bonewall. "Hey, pretty lady! Wait! Come back!" Finally, he remembered that he had legs and, with a quick glance to Alic, to ensure he was alright, ran after the swiftly receding figure.

/ooc: Okay! Countess, roll over and be dead! Necromencer2, please don't just casually kill the main villain of the piece next time, okay? Overriding things is not something I would ever do lightly, but it seemed called for this time. That being said, I'll not do it again.

YEAHHH

OCC: HEY EVERYBODY! About 2-3 posts ago, I gained a new rank! This is great and all but whens the next one? *necromencer starts to run around, doing backflips and sumersaults to celebrate*

Orenda

OOC: Congrats, Necromancer!

IC: I almost screamed in frustration as the bone prison came around me. Turning quick enough to see the arrow come at me, I used telekenisis to bat it away but not before it bit into my arm. It was only a flesh wound but I could feel the blood slowly run down my arm.

"Necromancer! You shall not prevent me from taking my sister from this hell hole. You shall not thwart my rescue!," I yelled at him as I prepared my lightening spell once again. The blast of energy flew out around me and shattered the bone prison and then I used a heat spell to begin melting the steel door of the prison. Let him attack me again-at least my sister would be free before he could do me much damage.

Thorr

Thorr was out of breath. That lady could run much faster than he thought, and he was still weak from the earlier battles. He caught up to her in time to see the new Necromancer in battle with her, and hear her say that no one could stop her rescue. Confused again, Thorr stopped to attempt to think: Pretty lady wants to rescue virgins too? Uh-oh. I don't think she has what it takes to properly rescue a virgin! Maybe I should help!

Charging forward, as ever, the mighty barbarian crashed into the heavy steel door, just as the sorceress had started to melt it with her fire spell.

"YEEOOWWTTCHHSSHIT!" Badly burned, Thorr crashed right through the door, and collapsed on the other side, unconscious."

/ooc And he will be part of the world's growing unconsciousness until morning. Goodnight everyone!

OCC: You underestimate my character "witch". Why, within 30 words, you could be dead HA HA HA HA

IC: A dull thud announced the arrival of Thorr. Fool, thought Ralcair. Turning halfway towards the door, he threw his black flame straight towards it. The explosion shattered the door and knocked the witch off her feet. Shoutingin triumph, Ralcair drew his dagger and charged, but for the worst of luck, he slipped on liquid metal and knocked himself out...

Orenda

OOC: Oh, for...ROTFLMAO...you guys are something else!

IC: I got shakily to my feet and looked at the two men who were, literally, lying at my feet. I felt my head which was ringing from the explosion and then set about to work.

First thing I did was to pick up the dagger that the necromancer had repeatedly tried to kill me with and slipped it into my belt. The next was to try and tamp down the headache and drag the necromancer into the cell with the large man. It was a chore but I managed to do it though I was panting afterward.

Going about the cell, I released all of the humans who just stared at me, not realizing that they had been released. It took me threatening to blast them with lightening for them to scamper out of the cell and up the stairs. I was glad my bluff worked because I did not know what I was going to do if it didnt.

That left myself and the two men. I sighed in frustration for not finding the person I had come for and was fearful that she was already dead. That I had failed.

Going out of the cell, I again used my fire spell, this time to seal the door to the cell shut. Standing outside of the cell, I smiled a little bit and cast one more spell. As I watched, both men were assulted with a flood of ice cold water. That should wake them up.

Morgoth shook his head and smiled. He walked up slowly, and arrived just after Thorr had been knocked out, taking his time and finding his passages with care. "Hello Sorceress. I am not a minion of the Countess, do not worry. But may I ask you your name? I am Morgoth, and that smaller necromancer is my brother. A little foolhardy. The Barbarian is named Thorr", said Morgoth friendlily. He threw down his weapon and unsummoned the bone wall to show friendship. "Do not try to kill me please. There are other virgins in this hell-hole, after all", added Morgoth.

Orenda

I looked at the necromancer suspiciously. I wasnt in a position to put my trust in anyone but at least he had not attacked me in fact just the opposite as he threw his weapons on the floor.

Still she could ill afford to not trust anyone as I needed to get my sister sorceress away from here. She was too much a novice to last very long and I already feared her dead. I reached up my hand to touch my temples. My headache was getting worse.

"Orenda," I said, finally coming to a decision. "My name is Orenda and I am searching for my sister sorceress who was taken by the countess. Her name is Trinity and she is a novice and I am afraid I may be too late. I have never met her before but I think I will be able to feel her power when I find her."

Looking into the cell where both men were soaking wet from my last spell, my brow furrowed. "Foolhardy maybe but I must confess that I too jumped to conclusions about all of you. When you killed the countess I naturally assumed...well, you are necromancers."

Using my spell for cold, I froze the not yet cooled metal and smiled as I heard the splitering of metal as it endured too many changes of the elements.

"There," I said,"My show of good faith." I had to be careful as I could feel the drain on my powers. I was not a novice but then again neither was I one of the most powerful of sorceresses.
