Diablo 2(for the uninitiated, there will be, once again, guidelines)

Thorr

Thorr's armor had protected him from most of the damage resulting from his ill-advised charge through the melting steel door, but he was still hurt fairly badly. The shock of the ice-cold water splashing over him was enough to bring him back to what would pass for consciousness.

"Urgh. Thorr not feel so good. Where pretty lady?" Wincing, he got shakily to his feet. He looked over, through the remains of the door, straining to see straight, and saw Morgoth and the new sorceress talking. Carefully not shaking his aching head, Thorr stepped over the limp form of Ralcair, and approached the pair of magicians.

"Hello, pretty lady! You not trying to kill Nekkie anymore? Hokay. As soon as this Balrog stops dancing inside my head, I help you rescue virgins."

Orenda

I looked up...and I do mean up...to the large man that spoke to me. "Uhhh..thanks...I think," I said a bit hesitantly. "But next time you might want to let me finish melting through the door before you run through it."

Looking up at his blank expression I added,"You have no idea what I am talking about do you?" Sighing I reached into a pouch that I always carried by my side and extracted a bottle of liquid and a jar of salve. Handing him the liquid I said,"Drink up it will get rid of that...uhh...'Balrog' and make the hurt not so bad." I dipped my fingers into the salve and proceeded to cover any burns on the outside as the healing potion worked on the inside. When I was done, I stood back and said,"How do you feel now?"

Thorr

Thorr accepted the potion from this lovely enchantress, and gulped it down in one swallow, never taking his eyes from her. It was remarkably effective, combining with his amazing constitution and strength to effect a complete recovery.

"Uff-da! Ready to wrestle giant for lady! Virgins to rescue, ale to drink, foes to slay! A fray! A fray!" and he let out a bone-chilling barbarian war-cry.

Perhaps a bit more than a complete recovery...

Orenda

I was glad that I had put away the jar of salve before Thorr let out his yell because I immediately clapped my hands over my ears. If I had it in my hands at the time it would have fallen to the floor and smashed to bits.

When he was done, I took my hands from my ears and shook my head. A bad idea as it made the ringing in my ears increase. Talking a bit more loudly than I should have, I said,"Thats great, big guy. As soon as the other necromancer gets up we will go find...virgins...and my sister sorceress to rescue. The ale I will buy you when we get out of this place as a thank you for your help."

OOC: I leave for a few days and look at everything that has happened- now I have to play catch up.

IC: Alic looked around and shook his head. Everything had happened at such a pace that he couldn't quite figure out just what had happened. First he was healed and back in his armor which was weird unto itself but then he had become a dragon and that had taken some getting used to. He grabbed his sword and rushed out of the room to see the destruction that his friends had caused and looked up the stairs thinking it the only logical way to go. He began to slowly walk up the stairs, not knowing what to expect but the first thing that he came upon when he got to the top was the smashed door. He shook his head and said, "Thorr, only Thorr."

He walked through the smashed door and looked around before seeing his friends and two new people. He stood there, a very confused man and said, "Would someone please tell me what is going on?"

Orenda

I look up as I hear yet another person enter. I raise my eyebrows as I see it is a Paladin. Well, our fighting odds were getting better and better.

Bowing my head to him, I went through my introduction again. "My name is Orenda, Knight of Light," I said,"I am a sorceress sent to retrieve one of my younger sisters. She was taken before her training was completed and so is not prepared to fight against an evil such as the Countess."

"In the process of searching, I got the wrong impression of your companions and ended up in a fight with the younger necromancer. But everything is straightened out now. And help," I smiled up at the barbarian,"Has been offered in my search."

ooc hello I see that your vilon is ded at lest thats whot I can tell I would like to cum in as the power behind her if you don't mind my spelling and if you agery don't save the vergin soseres I hav plans for her if you agery that is.

OOC: nightray: the power behind the Countess is Andariel, lady of anguish, the power behind her is Diablo, lord of terror, the power behind him is Baal, lord of destruction.

IC: "Let's find them, then", offered Morgoth.

"Greeting Orenda- my name is Alic and I will do everything in my power to free your sister. But I have to ask this, what are we waiting for- we can't stand around here and do nothing while innocent people are getting killed just because an old crone like the Countess needs there blood."

He walked forward and looked around, wondering where he was to go next as he never knew how he had gotten into the tower in the first place then turned to one of the others and said, "Excuse me for this- but where exactly are we going?"

"Up, I suppose. If your chambers were near the top, the virgins' must be even higher", thought Morgoth aloud. He picked up Loath Wrack, and cast another Bone Armor.

"That sounds logical to me. Up we must go and I hope that I meet up with that hag again because we have a score to settle."

He grabbed his sword out of its sheath and walked towards the steps but before he could he heard some loud footsteps and looked to see the same undead minotaur that had captured him walking towards the group, a smile on its face.

Thorr

The big barbarian's face lit up with a broad grin, "Alic!"

Not wanting to get involved in the plans overmuch, he simply waited for someone to point him in the directions of foes to slay, ale to quaff, virgins to rescue, or any combination thereof, content to bask in the beauty of the young sorceress. Soon enough, a direction was given.

"Hokay! We go up, then? To the fray!" And Thorr took off, then stopped. "Umm..." and turned, "this is top, isn't it? Maybe dungeons way down deep with rats and stuff?"

Orenda

I shook my head at the barbarian. "Just follow us, big guy, we find the stairs and go whichever way they do." I said as I turned toward the stairs. Just then some kind of undead walked in bellowing and I stepped back a bit. It looked like a minataur and one that didnt look like he was faring too well. (per Alic's post)

Stepping back even more, I began to form a ball of lightening in my hand. "On second thought, I hope you know how to swing that weapon."

With that, I let go of the ball I had formed and it smashed into the thing's chest, burning a hole through it but only slowing it down a bit.

"Actually Alic", said Morgoth, his blade hacking into a goatman that had decided to attack them, "the Countess is dead. We killed her", he said, blood flying everywhere.

"Why didn't you leave her for me then- she tortured me to near death and I wanted to pay her back although I have a feeling that I did."

He looked up at the undead minotaur with a large smile and said, "Okay- now it is time for you to die."

He did a great sweeping arch with his sword and the minotaur screamed out in pain as the blade sliced into its abdomen, causing it to fall to the ground. As soon as it hit the ground Alic ran towards the stairs and headed up.

Morgoth turned to Ralcair briefly, and then charged up the stairs after Alic. He sliced through any Undead or Alive creatures he could find.

Orenda

Forming a ball of fire in my hands, I ran after the two men, looking around for any of the creatures they missed and setting the unlucky minions on fire as I passed.

As soon as they got to the top of the steps they found a large door blocking their way. Alic stood there and looked at the door, trying to find a way in but saw that it was impossible so he brought up his sword and sliced forward. The sword connected with the door with a loud boom but was untouched. Alic looked at the door with a little shock and then turned to Orenda.

"Would you please do the honors?"

Orenda

I looked at the Paladin and then at the door. Nodding, I took a few minutes to gather my power in my hand. I let the energy ball sit there gathering power until I felt I could not hold it back anymore.

Bringing my arm back, I threw the ball with all my might and brought my arm up over my eyes to shield them as the ball connected and spread through the door for a second before the door groaned and blasted inward.

The sound of splintered wood and twisted metal was ear shattering as the door was forced open and twisted off it's hinges.

When Alic turned back and looked at the door he saw that it was a twisted mess. He looked back and Orenda and gave a little bow before walking into the chamber, his sword held tightly in his right hand. He looked around the chamber and the first thing that he noticed was the hunch back that was trying to get out of the place as fast as it could. Alic looked down and saw a helmet then picked it up and threw it with all his might at the hunch back, smiling as it connected with the back of its head and caused the hunchbacked creature to fall to the floor with a thud.

Alic rushed over to where the creature lay and turned it over to look at its face but screamed out when he saw that the thing was unconscious.

OCC: Hey everyone, I really hate being a necro, so can I somehow lose my power and become a warrior from Diablo 1? I am more of a melee comabt person myself and Arkanes Valor did always kick ass!

Thorr

Amazingly enough, the barbarian's attention was so focused on the young sorceress, he had not bothered to take part in any of the fighting for several minutes!

[ooc:RL stuff kept me from posting yesterday. Sorry!]

Still, nothing short of a goddess could hold his attention indefinitely, and Giant-Cleaver was getting very thirsty. Striding through the remains of the shattered door, he casually dispatched the watch-demon with a single stroke of his mighty sword, stopped, turned, and called to his companions: "All clear!"

Alic looked at Thorr with exasperation clear on his face, "It would have been helpful if I had of had time to have talked to that thing before you came in and sliced it in half don't you think- now what are we going to do?"

Alic began laughing when he saw the look on Thorr's face as he looked down at the body.

OOC: Neale- I have to give you praise, Thorr is one of the best characters that I have ever had the chance to interract with.

Orenda

I shook my head. "Well, we need to find someone who can give us the answers to where my sister sorceress is and if she is even alive right now."

Walking around the room, I closed my eyes and tried to concentrate on feeling for any magical energies. I figured that they might have her in a hidden room or passageway. I stopped and sighed in frustration when I had circled the room and felt nothing.

"Either there are no hidden passages or the witch had a spell on it so that one of my caliber cannot detect it."
