We recently watched a video/documentary called "Hot & Bothered", which focused on "feminine pornography". Inevitably, we got into a discussion of whether or not porn empowers women or sets feminism back years. Whether or not porn can be used to "undermine the discourse"

Nina Harley in the video flat out said that it's difficult to get anything more cerebral put out there because the "big boys" (I use that term LOOSELY), put the kaibosh on most of it, so it never sees the light of day.

Until there's MORE of a demand for more erotic/cerebral stuff, it just won't be made. The guys that are in charge are only interested in stuff that makes money, and personally I think it's all crap.

I completely agree. I freely admit to watching porn, but most of the big peck, big boobs, big dicks stuff doesn't do anything for me. There are vids from a few sites that are better, but they still star girls who could now be young enough to be my daughter (barely).

I'm sure there's a spot out there for porn that caters to the more flexible and realistic of us.

But I'm an optimistic person.

There actually is, believe it or not, it's just independent, and it's produced directed by women. More cerebral, more of a story line. More erotic.
