No, it's just you and scouries and sarahhh and your army of alts. And I believe that you don't have any alts about as much as I believe scouries makes money writing for this site....which is not at all (just thought I'd add that last part so your pea-brain can absorb it).

You really should lay off the steroids, Freddie. Not only to they make you a raving lunatic, they shrink your already microscopic dick. It'd be a pity for your dad, brother, sister or mom because you really can't satisfy them sexually.

You continue to prove me right. You never have anything nice to say. You are a negative person. I bet you heard that before. Allow me to reiterate, "You are a negative person."

You will never turn your miserable life around until you start thinking positive thoughts.

You need to stop being the mean, nasty, and bitter bitch.

Listen, there is someone for everyone out there, even you. Maybe, if you did something with your hair, covered your acne with makeup, and lost a few hundred pounds, someone would want to touch you sexually.

Please, don't thank me. I'm glad that I could help you, not really, not at all.

Have a negative day.

More unoriginal and recycled insults, Freddie. You really should come up with some new material, the stuff you spew now is getting old.

Wait, I know this is how you'll respond:

"You're fat"

"You don't have a man"

"You're in love with me"

"Your mom PMed me"

"I'm rich and you're jealous"

"I don't bash anyone unless they bash me first"

"You're ugly"

"Stop sending me PMs"

I'm sure I missed a few, but feel free to copy and paste any of these in reply, since that's all you can say anyway.

I missed last years Annual Awards. So I went back today to check out what happened.

Do you know that last years “discussion thread” had only 9 replies and that of the nine only one discussed the nominations and none made any suggestions for change/improvement?

This year there are something like 50 different AWARD categories that have some 200+ stories nominated and something like 150+ authors in the running for some award or another…

…on a site that reports hundreds of thousands of weekly readers

And yet when this site has their Academy Awards almost no one is willing to “discuss” the nominees.

Not even the inner AH circle who has so much at stake. Whose future happiness is riding on the voting. Instead they pull out their ALTS to attack the few LITEROTICANS who have the temerity to break the silence.

One would think that the members who spent their time in the AUTHORS hangout would enjoy discussing the various nominees. But no, these intellectuals instead seem to prefer HAPPY BIRTHDAY THREADS.

One longs to know which GAY story the famous critic ACE favors (and why).

What SCI-FI story DARKBOY voted for. Listen to his reasoning.

SERENA could perhaps bring her independent voice to the ANAL and EXHIBITIONIST categories.

POORBET repeatedly tells us she’s smart. Who are her choices in the 5 POETRY cats?

And where’s the good DOCTOR? Or our GRREK friend? She’s an expert on everything. Or miss ODIOUS? AMICUS? BANANA BOY? MISS HICK posts but only to attack not to add something to the site. The list is almost endless…

Why suddenly are all our “great ones” voices stilled?

…Of course to show a preference for one, to actually choose, means that you offend three or four others…

So you rest silent. Use the back rooms to politic and make your deals. How sad…

I’m james r scouries and I’d like to see some changes…

[size=+2] 10TH ANNUAL LITEROTICA READER'S CHOICE AWARDS

My take on the VARIOUS FOREIGN LANGUAGE CATEGORY AWARDS

SPANISH

Only one person has voted in this category so far! Until I did! Of course living in Miami I have a pretty good feel for Spanish sex. There is nothing like a just ripe, twenty year old Latina. Yo, I chose Sin Nombre 1 which puts X X in a tie for first.

ROMANIAN

Romanian is a little trickier. My Romanian is definitely weaker than my Spanish. However one of my favorite strippers is from Romania and so I asked her which of the three nominees she liked. She said De ce nu i se scoala lui Radu Ch. 01 was very hot!

PORTUGESE

Easy choice! I like the Surf story and so do most of my Brazilian friends. We have a 1-1 tie now.

ITALIAN

Ulisses and Nevada were both nominated last year so, to encourage competition, I voted for the newbie, capo1 and the story Matide.

GERMAN

One of my stories was translated into German so i‘m pretty up on this category. Kuchen and Pizz is my choice. By marionp.

FRENCH

Gabby, who due to her French Canadian mother is pretty fluent in french, chose Domination Familliale 02 by jean yves.

DUTCH

I like Amsterdick’s name so I chose him (or her) for the story Een onverwacht genoegen, deel twee . It’s a wonderful tale set in the infamous red light district of Amsterdam.

GREEK

Where the hell are the GREEK nominees? What, you’ve got something against my people?

So that’s it for the FOREIGNERS. Agree? Disagree? No need for you to be scared to express your opinion (it’ll only be held against you for a year or so). Last year an average of 3 votes were cast in these categories so every vote is not only appreciated, it's very important.

Next I’ll start my discussion of the individual story categories.

I’m james r scouries and I’d like to see some changes…

"One longs to know which GAY story the famous critic ACE favors (and why)."

If you read what anyone posted other than Freddie or one of your own alts, you'd know that I have no GM story favorites in the hunt because (1) I rarely read the stories of others; I'm writing my own, and (2) I posted that I didn't think chapters should be eligible at all. They are not complete stories. All of the GM entries this year are chapters (if I remember correctly). I know my position on chapters in contests is the same as yours, which, however, doesn't mean I got my view from you. If you spent two seconds reading what others had to say and weren't so Barnum and Bailey over the top in your own board behavior, you'd have realized that some others are saying some of the same things about the contests that you are.

P.S.: I only voted in one category this year. And I noted that in a post along with my reasoning--so I'm way ahead of you on that, Chuckie.

MISS HICK posts but only to attack not to add something to the site.

Hey, now back up there, sunshine. Your pal Freddie attacked me first. I haven't said anything to him in weeks, and he comes out of left field with yet another insult toward me. His endless insulting of others has gone unnoticed by you, as usual. But you're the first to point out how mean others are. More of your poor reading comprehension showing itself.

As far as the Reader's Choice contest, I'm keeping my opinions and my choices of who I voted for to myself. No one needs to know who I voted for or why.

I choose this because I have seen in the past (not on this site, but in similar circumstances) if someone votes for a certain person, their 'friends' are offended if that person didn't vote for them. Arguments blossom from discussions such as this so to avoid any hurt feelings, I keep my voting choices to myself.

I'll admit, it was a tough decision who to vote for on Most Influential Author, but I did make my decision based on who's stories (not just chapters, but whole stories) moved me the most. That's all I'll say about my decision.

It's admirable that you're actually trying to get a discussion thread going about the nominees, but taking cheap shots at the rest of us really defeats the whole purpose. Instead of voicing your opinion on what you think we should be doing, do what you've posted on this thread about in the past....keep it on topic with the discussions about the nominees.

And you still haven't answered my question: If you hate the AH so much, why do you continue to venture over to that forum?

Dear fucking god....stop the fucking bickering already. None of you look any better because of it. Every single one of you (srplt excepted) looks like a fucking idiot.

First I am going to say that I am sorry to cloudy up front.
Now to the matter of the three stoogies. Freddy you are still an idiot. But thank you for taking the time to write such an entertaining post about me. I really enjoyed reading it asshole. Gabby you said that I am also known as ACE but that is your bosses kickname for SR71PILOT. Sorry but I do not know the gentleman. If I am also ACE how can it be that have never written a story?
Think first PLEASE!! Scouries you realy need to get some new ALTs.

SR71 please keep writting, as you are showing improvement in you stories.

Thank you for your time

I hate to say this, but Scabies has a certain point. Not enough people vote in the contest, and this has resulted in BFW leading as both the most influential author and the most influential poet. There must be enough of Scabies's and Freddie's alts and sycophants to produce this deplorable situation.

As far as I can see, BFW is about the LEAST influential author, and he is even less influential as a poet. Scabs says he has 671 stories, which is not true. He has 671 items posted, which includes poems and essays. Even so, there is an impressive amount of stuff posted, or there would be, except that it is mostly crap. What I have read so far are masses of drivel cut into segments of about 900 or 1,000 words and posted as chapters, in order to score high in the Survivors' Contest. He probably has twice as many so-called stories as I have, but I'm sure I have a lot more total words.

By the way, I don't claim to be an influential author either. I write almost strictly smut, because it is fun doing it, but I like to think it is well-written smut. Freddie doesn't even do that.

His "poems" are even worse. They appear to be groups of random words put into lines, without saying much of anything. Once again, they are no more than entries in the Survivors' Contest. I don't claim to be an influential poet either. Mostly I just write doggerel, but at least I have good meter and rhyme scemes. Freddie doesn't have anything.

So, what, if anything can be done by Ahers to prevent the debacle that threaterns us? I say we rally behind one author, probably one of the kittens, and all vote for her, but first decide which one. As for poets, Wicked Eve is in second place, although behind BFW, so let's all vote for her.

This may be somewhat unethical, but it's no worse than what BFW and Scabies are trying to do.

Your jealousy is showing Soxlicker.

I dare you to find a story that I've written that is only a thousand words.

Moreover, I'll match any of my "crap" stories against any of your "smut" stories you miserable piece of shit.

And this is how you repay someone who helped you publish your piece of shit story. Your just full of gratitude.

Do me a favor Soxlicker and just forget I exist.

By the way, all those votes that I've received are from fans, something that I have many more than you. Further, I challenge you to add up your word count. I'm over 2 million words with more than 10 million hits.

What do you have?

Your just pissed because I'm finally going to win something. Your just pissed because no one nominated you as the most influential writer. The only thing you influence is sour grapes.

Soxlicker is jealous. I love it. I've having a great time watching all of this unfold and watching all you assholes scurry around accusing me of having multiple alts.

If I said it once, I've written it a hundred times. I have no alts. I want to be credited for everything that I write good or bad.

Besides, where would I possibly have the time to write 602 stories, 69 poems, have 1,800 posts to the forum boards and have alts. You're a moron.

...and here we go again. Soxlicker has already declared his intention to turn, yet, another contest into a popularity contest.

I dare say that I've influenced this site in 2008 more than any other writer.

Selena didn't come close to my output. DK reposted her old stories. Soular posted two chapter stories.

You want to rally around one writer, at least, pick someone who is a writer, someone who is equal to me. Rally around Many Feathers.

Oh, wait, maybe he's one of my alts, too.

I don't even have to see all those "user is on your ignore list" posts or read the quotes to know what's going on.

Just let them go, everybody. It isn't worth the effort.

Vote honestly where you already have a clear winner in mind. Read a few offerings where you don't know the nominees and vote.

In the end, it won't matter, but at least you'll know that you were on the straight and narrow -- in the spirit of the contest rather than taking advantage of the numerous holes in the system to try to counter others taking advantage of the holes in the system.

A spotlight on the problems is probably exactly what is needed. Either the holes will get patched, or the ship is going down.

as a person who has been reading here for years and never bothered to join until now. I am like most people who just read and never joined i felt I had to after reading some of the things posted here. most of you are crazy. at 80 years of age i think i can say this and ihave it be correct

The votes on the contests are low because (A) the contests are a sieve of cheatability that focuses on the writer, not the stories, and have resulted in increasing disillusionment and indifference among the writers, and (B) very few readers even know they exist. Very few of the readers (or a good many of the fine writers) at Lit. even know (or care) that there is a forum, where the focus of attention toward contests is. They are here for their daily (or hourly) arousal fix--or just to post their stories to be shared.

The notification of contests is far too hidden on the Web site for the casual reader who doesn't follow the forums to conveniently see. And the readers come here to read for arousal (most of them), not either to vote or to comment. The same neverending complaints on voting are given about the posted stories themselves. Lamenting it isn't going to change the natural voting pattern. Better advertisement, better constructed contests that offer up something closer to objectively determined excellence in content, and less voodoo results calculation might.

The system is corrupt and is likely to continue so. It wouldn't be much more than amusing if there wasn't money involved for some of the contests--which just heightens the grabbing and cheating.

As far as I can determine the "Scouries" foundation is just using the opportunities there in the contest system. No self-nominations that I can see (unless alts were involved, which many believe--and that no doubt other nominees have used as well); no rule against plugging one's candidacy either on the forum or in PMs.

Yes, several of the categories here are playing out as a joke. But the contest is set up that way. It always was a fairy tale contest system. The Barnum and Bailey posters are just pointing to/playing with the ludicrousness of it all--and, yes, sucking any fun out of it that there once was--just like BFW did with the survivor's contest.

So, I suggest, just sit back and grit your teeth at the monster the system has created--and let it roll over you and only pay as much attention to it as the entertainment you get out of it. It's all illusion anyway. It's not arms and legs.

Welcome to Literotica.

If you haven't voted you, please consider voting for me for the most influential writer and/or the most influential poet. For your convenience, I've posted the links below.

Just because I finally lead a contest you automatically accuse me of cheating.

This is what to do. Send a PM to Laurel and have her run a check on all those who voted for me. Okay?

I can assure you that all of my votes are from long-term writers and readers who have been following all that I have written. I have the e-mails to back up nearly every vote I've received.

Now, quit being such an asshole, you fruit loop.

You don't read none too good, do you? I specifically said you and your friends seemed to be staying inside the rules (which, of course, only points out how weak the rules are).

I actually think you might be the most influential writer of 2008. The contest doesn't specify whether the influence has to have been for the good or the bad. You've done a bang-up job of tearing all the walls down to serve your minisule ego.

It doesn't matter. I'm here for the same reason why I joined more than 2 years ago and that's to write stories. It's all about the story for me. All this other stuff...is shit.

I've improved my writing and I'm a better writer than I was in 2006, 2007, and even 2008 now.

It doesn't matter if I win as the most influential writer and/or as the most influential poet. I know that I was. No one else comes close in comparison.

Never in my life have I seen such a bunch of narrow minded small and petty people. I'm glad that I'm not accepted as one of you.

Bostonfictionwriter i was going to vote for you until your attack on sr71plt THANK YOU FOR CHANGING MY MIND FO ME

Thank you, but I no longer want your vote.

If you vote for anyone, you should vote for Many Feathers. He's a very talented and classy writer. Matter of fact, I even voted for him. Seriously. At the time, I didn't think I'd have any chance of winning. At the time, everyone was leading my vote score, except for Soular.

I don't mean to interrupt this flame war, but....

I was just thinking that I'd pop in here and say "hi", and maybe pathetically beg for some votes. :) You should vote for me in my two categories because, um...ooh, ooh, I know! Because my nominated work "Checkout" is a real whole story and not a chapter of one! Yeah! And it won "
Erotic Couplings Story of the Month" for July. And, um, because I'm a real person who just writes for the enjoyment and isn't an alt, cheater, sycophant, or any of the other mean things everyone's calling everyone else in this thread. I'm nice. And, um...I can juggle. And, that's it I guess.

So go to these links and vote for "Checkout" by ShimmeringPheonix here: http://forum.literotica.com/showthread.php?t=652149.

Oh, and Aggie here: http://forum.literotica.com/showthread.php?t=652138.

And, um. That's it, I guess.

(A politician I am not and never will be....)
