Hiya Team....I made a point of getting outta bed at 4am this morning to catch the closing stages of the Red Soxs / Yankees final game. Twas my first ever baseball game and I gotta admit I was a lil confused !!

Firstly , to DLL commisserations sweetheart , and a nice warm hug (((((((((DLL)))))))))))))) Top any Red Sox fans , congrats , it was a comprehensive win in the end.

Now what I need to know.....

1) What's the distance between the pitcher and the hitter?

2) How many pitchers are allowed on each team?

3) When a catch is taken , can the basemen still run and score?

4) Are the guys that field the same ones that go into bat?

That'll do for starters !! I watched on ESPN and the jargon used by the two commentators was another language to me....as for the statistics - I haven't a clue!!

Hope you fans can help me out here - I'm sure i'll get a lot more out of the game when I understand exactly what's going down !!

Well even though the weather in NZ sounds similar to the weather here at the moment at least it should be getting warmer there than here...................it will won't it?

Auckland is where I will be spending most of my time - its actually a business trip but hopefully at weekends I shall get to have some fun and certainly watching rugby would be something I might well do.
